Wonderful Adenekan is a 17 year old Univelcity alumni who is a Front-end developer at G-Pay. He joined Univelcity in 2017 as a student in the Front-end Engineering and Back-end (NodeJS) Classes. After 8 weeks of intensive training, Wonderful was well equipped with the necessary coding skills he needed to develop applications as a freelancer and land himself an exciting job with G-Pay even without having a BSc. With the sudden surge of tech start-ups all over the world, the need for tech skills has become a necessity and in light of Nigeria’s growing youth unemployment population, Univelcity seeks to contribute to the reduction of unemployment by equipping youths with tech skills to compete favourably for tech jobs not only in Nigeria but also in diaspora.

Speaking about Univelcity’s alumni, CEO and Co-founder Joseph Agunbiade said:

“We’ve had many students like Wonderful in the past who came in with a passion and zeal to learn and at the end of 8 weeks, they came out tops and were able to embark on so many amazing projects.”

Univelcity is a tech academy designed to accelerate the growth of tech talent in Africa by offering courses that develop world class, industry relevant skills. Using a social and project-based approach to learning, Univelcity offers a practical edge in an ultra-modern and tech friendly learning environment that enhances student assimilation and retention.
