The State Security Service (SSS) on Tuesday partially returned some of its operatives who were withdrawn from the Senate President, Bukola Saraki. The secret police reportedly withdrew nearly two-thirds of personal security guards attached to Mr Saraki and the remaining three presiding officers at the National Assembly on Saturday. Over a dozen officers were withdrawn from Mr Saraki’s detail alone. But five of them have now been restored, according to sources close to the Senate President. Details of the development were still murky as at the time of this report. It was not immediately clear whether the personnel withdrawn from Speaker Yakubu Dogara, Deputy Senate President Ike Ekweremadu and Deputy Speaker Yusuf Lasun have been partially or fully restored alongside Mr Saraki’s. Over 12 Personnel(from SSS only) were withdrawn?  , meaning he has about 24 SSS men guarding only him? Now let's do simple caculation: 24 SSS men 30 Policemen 15 Civil Defence Men 15 Soldiers That is over 100 Security personnel guarding one Criminal? This country is gone! 54 Likes 1 Share |

Why do these people need so much security details? Imagine a whole platoon guarding one man. This is a country where the police-citizen ratio is equivalent to 1:500. This country is going to hell. Like Buhari, like Saraki. I know Buhari corruption fight is directed only to perceived enemies. This case will be swept under the carpet as usual and he, Buhari will regret doing so, because given the slightest chance, Saraki will destroy him for even making an attempt to disgrace him. 11 Likes |

Whether we like it or not, he is the number 3 citizen in this country and deserves all the largesse of his office. To a large extent he holds more power than even the vice president. The beautiful thing about all this political jostling is that at the end,it'll only help reduce the political class and might make us develop positively. This Country is sick... Its obvious Leadership is one of our major problem... The next are the People themselves... Very soon!
