QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED FOR THE POSITIONS WITH METHOD OF APPLICATION Computer literacy is required for all positions. 1. Professor (CONUASS 07) : Applicants must be authorities in the relevant field with Ph.D degree or Post-graduate Fellowship specialist in the relevant field (for the College of Health Sciences) from any reputable University/ Institution with substantial scholarly publications. Applicants must have had at least TEN years of post-doctoral University full-time teaching and research experience, with ability to initiate and supervise research projects. Administrative experience will be an advantage. Successful applicants must be able to give academic and professional leadership in the field. 2. Reader (CONUASS 06): Same as for 1 above, except that 8 years of post- doctoral University full-time teaching and research experience is required. 3. Senior Lecturer (CONUASS 05) : Same as 1 and 2, except that 6 years of experience is required. 4. Lecturer I (CONUASS 04) : Candidates must normally possess a doctoral degree in the relevant field or for the College of Health Sciences, a basic degree in Medicine (MB;BS) and Postgraduate Fellowship. Three years of post-doctoral teaching and research experience is required except for the College of Health Sciences. 5. Lecturer II (CONUASS 03) : A Ph.D. degree or MB;BS in the relevant field. 6. Assistant Lecturer (CONUASS 02) : Candidates must have Master’s degree in the relevant field. 7. Graduate Assistant (CONUASS 01) : Candidates must have a degree with a minimum of second Class (Upper Division) in the relevant field. 8. Deputy University Librarian (CONUASS 06) - This is a Management Position. Candidates should normally possess a minimum of M.L.S. Degree. Principal System Analyst (CONTISS 11): Candidates for the position must have obtained a Bachelor Degree (B.Sc./ B.Tech, B.Ed) in Computer Science, and must also have at least 5 O/Level subjects which must include English Language and Mathematics. They must be members of Nigeria Computer Society (NCS). Candidates for the above position must have at least 9 years working experience in a University System preferably in the area of System Development and Implementation. They must have acquired training capability in computer operations and software applications. 25. Programmer I (CONTISS 08): Candidates must possess B.Sc./ B.Tech./HND in Computer Science. Candidates must be proficient in the three official languages in Africa: English, French and Arabic. NETWORK OPERATION CENTRE 37. NOC Manager (Senior Engineer) CONTISS 09: Candidates must have B. Eng. / B.Tech (Computer, Electrical and Electronics Engineering). Candidates must have at least 6 years working experience on Wide Area Network (WAN) installation, maintenance and support, including VSAT operations. Evidence of management of a large enterprise network including large internet bandwidth and support for over 500 users on a broadband network is required while experience in metropolitan network operations will be an added advantage. Candidates should have good communication skills with at least one year experience in Internet Service Provider (ISP)/ Cyber-café operation. 40. Help Desk Officer (Secretary) CONTISS 07: A good Bachelor’s degree in any of the ICT fields. Candidates must have Diploma/ Certificate in computer operation (MS word, Excel, PowerPoint) and should have good communication skills. TECHNOLOGISTS 41. Chief Technologist (CONTISS 13) : Candidates must possess B.Sc./ HND from a recognized institution in relevant areas with at least 15 years of relevant post- qualification work experience. 42. Director /Deputy Director (CONTISS 15/ 14): Applicants must be graduates in Engineering or Architecture with at least 15/ 12 years post qualification experience respectively , particularly in the Planning, Designing and Execution of Public Buildings, Operation and Maintenance of Engineering Service Systems, including Sewage, Transportation and Telecommunications in Public Institutional undertaking. In addition, applicants must be registered members of appropriate professional bodies in Nigeria, i.e.COREN or ARCHON. 74. Chief Architect (CONTISS 13): Same as above, but with at least 10 years post- qualification experience. REGISTRY DEPARTMENT (A) ADMINISTRATIVE CADRE All candidates in the administrative, clerical and executive cadres must also be ICT-compliant. 75. Deputy Registrar (General Administration) CONTISS 14: Candidates must possess a good University degree from a recognized University with at least 12 years relevant post-qualification experience most of which preferably, must be in University Administration. 76. Principal Assistant Registrar (CONTISS 13): Candidates must possess a good University degree from a recognized University with at least 10 years relevant post-qualification experience most of which preferably must be in University Administration. In addition, interested candidates must have adequate exposure in key units of the Registry and University Administration. 79. Senior Assistant Registrar (CONTISS 11): Same as in 78 above with at least eight years post qualification experience. 80. Assistant Registrar (CONTISS 09): Same as in 78 above with at least 6 years post qualification experience. 81. Administrative Officer (CONTISS 08): Same as in 78 above with at least 4 years post-qualification experience. 82. Administrative Assistant (CONTISS 07): First degree and NYSC Certificate (B) EXECUTIVE CADRE 83. Assistant Chief Executive Officer (CONTISS 12): Candidates must possess a University degree/HND from a recognized institution with at least eight years post-qualification experience. 84. Executive Officer (CONTISS 06): Candidates must possess either National Diploma in Administration or its equivalent or 2 Advanced Level papers obtained at a sitting or three subjects at two sittings. Relevant working experience will be an added advantage. 85. Assistant Executive Officer: (CONTISS 5) : Same as for no 84 above. 86. Clerical Officer (CONTISS 03): Candidates must possess 4 Credits including English Language (SSCE,GCE, NECO) at O/Level. (C) SECRETARIAL CADRE 87. Senior Confidential Secretary (CONTISS 08): Candidates must possess five credits in SSCE/GCE O’Level with credit in English Language or its equivalent and RSA or Government Certificate for 120/50 W.P.M. in Shorthand and Typewriting or OND in Secretarial Studies with three (3) years experience as Secretary I. 88. Senior Secretarial Assistant II (CONTISS 06): Candidates must possess five O’L Credit including English Language with Pitman/RSA or Government Certificate for 50 W.P.M. with at least 5 years working experience. UNIVERSITY LIBRARY 89. Library Officer (CONTISS 06) : Candidates must possess WASC/GCE (O/L) SSCE / Teachers Grade I with 5 Credits including English Language plus Diploma (OND) in Library Science plus 3 years working experience. 90. Library Officer (Arabic) CONTISS 06: Candidates must possess Diploma in Library Science from a recognized Institution plus 5 Credits in SSCE/GCE O’ Level or its equivalent with at least a pass in English Language at not more than two sittings. In addition, candidates should have a certificate in idadi or Zanawy from any recognized Arabic school. UNIVERSITY SCHOOL 91. Senior Teacher IV (CONTISS 6): Candidates must have NCE in the relevant subjects of Computer/ Mathematics, Business Studies/ Mathematics, Basic Technology, Yoruba/ CRK and French. 92. Senior Teacher III (CONTISS 7): Candidates must have B.A. Ed. or B.Sc. Ed. in the relevant subjects as indicated under 91 above. Candidates with B.A. and B.Sc. with PGDE are also qualified to apply. Works Department 93. Deputy Director of Works (CONTISS 14) : Candidates must possess SSCE/GCE (O/L) or its equivalents with at least 5 Credits in the relevant subjects including English Language and Mathematics plus a good University degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical). Candidates must have completed the NYSC scheme or provide evidence of exemption, with at least 9 years post qualification as a Council for Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN) Registered Engineer most of which must be in a University. Possession of a higher degree will be an added advantage. Candidates currently on grade level less than CONTISS 13 in the University system need not apply. Candidates must have not less than 15 years cognate experience in Facilities Project Management and Contract Administration. Successful candidates will be reporting directly to the Director of Works. 94. Principal Electrical Engineer (CONTISS 11): Candidates must possess SSCE/GCE (O/L) or its equivalent with at least 5 Credits in the relevant subjects including English Language and Mathematics plus a good University degree in Electrical Engineering. Candidate must have at least 8 years post qualification experience in facilities/project management and contract administration. Candidates must have been registered with COREN. 95. Senior Engineer (CONTISS 09): Candidates must possess SSCE/GCE (O/L) or its equivalent with at least 5 Credits in the relevant subjects including English Language and Mathematics plus a good degree or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering registrable with COREN with a least seven years post qualification experience in facilities/project management. 96. Engineer II (CONTISS 07) :Candidates must possess SSCE/GCE (O/L) or its equivalent with at least 5 Credits in the relevant subjects including English Language plus a good degree in Civil Engineering registrable with COREN with interest in facilities and project management. 97. Maintenance Officer II (Civil) CONTISS 07): Candidates must possess SSCE/GCE (O/L) or its equivalent with at least 5 Credits in the relevant subjects including English Language and Mathematics plus HND, HNC, C&G Full Tech. or C&G Part III Technician Cert. or equivalent qualifications in Civil Engineering. 98. Senior Foreman (CONTISS 06): Candidates must possess First School Leaving Certificate and Trade Test Grade I in Civil or Building Engineering (Carpentry, Masonry, Plumbing etc) with at least 12 years relevant experience.
