The duo of ex-President Olusegun Obasanjo, and ex-Military President, Ibrahim Babangida, were conspicuously absent at the conferment of National Honours, on the presumed winner of the June 12, 1993, Presidential election, Chief MKO Abiola, and others.

Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha, informed the gathering that the two ex-Presidents, both expressed regrets for their individual absence.

He added that Obasanjo traveled out of the country to Norway, for a more important Summit.

The whereabouts of Babangida could not be ascertained, as at the time of filing in this report.
