Now this is just painful to read
rentAcock:
Nigeria - Beaten
Egypt- Beaten
Tunisia - Beaten
Morroco - Beaten
Senegal - will be beaten

Maybe it's time for FIFA to barr all African teams from participating in the world Cup when there are more deserving countries like Italy, Chile, Holland etc. Africa is a failed continent, the world should move on and leave us to wallow in primitivity.

It's funny because I actually criticized that call on twitter but some mugus who don't even know the rules of the game kept telling me that it was a right call. I mean, I saw similar grabs during corner kicks more than 3 times in today's games alone.

Definitely a tough call by the referee. How many times have you see a penalty given for holding during a corner kick? #CRONGA

True but we can get ready in the next 4 years. If I am the president,I would train the best coach, send him outside the country try to learn everything about coaching, send scouts to look for players up to 200,starts grooming them and cut them down to 40. Make sure they are trained daily, the keeper must be able to perfect keeping to the extent he would save all penalties, the players must possess great speed. I think 3 years of full training can make them with the world cup.

I'm not validating what the guy said about leaving Africa behind, but dude this your comment sounds so naive and adolescent, Abeg How old are you

Point of correction, if you are a failed individual, count Africa out. We are unique in a special way.

We need to participate to learn the ropes on the world stage. It takes time. Countries like Holland, Belgium, Sweden, Greece, Russia, Poland, Portugal and many others have never won World cup. France, England & Spain have won only once. As defending champions both France and Spain could not make it out of group stages. Yet several of these countries have even hosted the world cup.

At times Some African countries do reasonably OK. The goal is to continue building. It will take time.

It is a failed continent economically, technologically, socially, politically and also in sports. Maybe the question you should be asking is, why did so many people like the comment in agreement while you don't see the truth in it.

I bet you all those countries have made it to the quarter finals and beyond while African teams are content making it to the round of 16. How many more years do we need before we can be taken serious on the world stage?

When did most Africans start going to World Cup? You cannot compare countries going since 1930s to ones who began in 1994 or 2002. Countries like Croatia & Serbia have been going under Yugoslavia for many decades already. It takes time. Simple.

Ok even you should know that this logic doesn't hold any substance at all. When did Iceland emerge on the international stage, yet they went to the quarter finals in Euro 2016. They made their first ever worldcup appearance this year and they held Argentina to a draw. Past results doesn't guarantee future outcomes. England won the world cup back in 1966, does it mean that the players from 1966 will be resurrected to participate in future worldcups? I don't even understand this logic. Sure past experience does help somewhat but only if the same players from prior appearances are included in the team and not because of a team's history.

Do not just compare, understand countries first.

Iceland broke away from Denmark in 1944. But still very much linked culturally and otherwise to Denmark. Iceland has been competing with European nations in football since and getting better yearly. They also built indoor pitches to enable sports during the very harsh long winter months.

Our problem in Africa is to believe history is not relevant. Hence we keep repeating past mistakes. History enables you to know how succeeding nations planned for success, the failures they had along the way and how the fixed them.

I remember just 20 to 30 years ago, other European nations used to go collect three points from Iceland, Andorra, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, etc Do not be surprised if in 10 years, Luxembourg or Andorra is the new football rave.

As a kid going to see Enugu Rangers v Bendel Insurance, Kano Pillars v NNB, Abiola Babes v Shooting Stars, Mighty Jets v BCC Lions or such top billing on Saturdays was like going to watch Liverpool v Chelsea or Man U v Man City today in UK. We supported local clubs and the local league got better. We did not build on that. Most good football countries have strong local leagues.

Great players are plucked directly by European top clubs from River Plate, Boca Junior, Gremio, Cruzeiro, Fulminense, Colo Colo and other South American leagues club sides.

You cannot be supporting Barca, Man U, Chelsea,Real Madrid, Liverpool, Arsenal, Bayern Munich, PSG and then be surprised that the national sides their players represent do well.
Europeans plan, Africans expect instant success. Life doesn't work that way.
