"But in a ruling, Mrs Nyako said she could not give the order for the senator’s release because she was not the one who ordered his arrest."

Simply put, the judge is saying that she is helpless.
Is she saying that a citizen that is unlawfully detained is at the mercy of the aggressor until they decide to have a change of heart?

It would be a shame if Abaribe is allowed to rot in prison and the idiot he stood as surety for is still eating pizza.in Accra.

Let me enlighten you MR/s attack dog, they haven’t charge him for any criminal offense, if the state has a case against him, he should be charge to court, after being charged the judge in charge of his case can decide whether to grant him bail or not .

That compromised Arewa Olosho judge did not even care to question the Fulani led Federal Government on the reasons (if any) for arresting kidnapping a Senator in a gestapo manner, devoid of respect for a man of his standing, rather she was blabbing without any iota of decorum and sensibilities expected of a judicial official.

The Fulani govt of the day has, inadvertently, taught every section of Nigeria how to wield Federal cum Presidential powers in this contraption called Nigeria.

Their time will soon be up and another group will also unleash terror on the Fulanis, because it would be viewed as standard practice.

Since it's them that have set the precedence, they are advised in advance, to prepare for a taste of their own medicine.

Balyz:
An Abuja Division of the Federal High Court has turned down a request for the release of Eyinnaya Abaribe who was arrested by security operatives on June 22.

Mr Abaribe, a senator, is one of the sureties for the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamidi Kanu, when the latter was granted bail in April 2017.

Mr Kanu has, however, been missing since September 2017.

His lawyer, Ifeanyi Ejiofor, accused the Nigerian army of kidnapping him. The army however denied the allegation, describing it as completely false.

At the previous hearing on Mr Kanu’s case, the judge, Binta Nyako, had ordered all the sureties, including Mr Abaribe, to produce Mr Kanu or go to jail.

But a few days to the trial, Mr Abaribe was arrested by security operatives for alleged links with the IPOB members.

Mr Abaribe has neither been released nor charged to court.

On Tuesday, the defence counsel, Mr Ejiofor demanded his release.

Mr Ejiofor asked the court to order the federal government to release Mr Abaribe, describing his arrest as illegal and unconstitutional.

But in a ruling, Mrs Nyako said she could not give the order for the senator’s release because she was not the one who ordered his arrest.

According to the judge, the circumstances that resulted in Mr Abaribe’s recent arrest were not before her.

She expressed dissatisfaction with counsel on both sides about their manner of handling the case and told them she would not mind prolonging the matter, if they themselves were not serious about carrying it forward.

Mr Abaribe who was escorted to the court by security operatives was not allowed to talk to journalists after the matter.

The situation resulted in a protest, with IPOB members demanding his release.

100 million is nothing. If IPOB members donates 500 naira each he will get 1 billion naira. As for 6 months in jail .. well its temporary.

This new tactic is proving quite effective.

Apprehend the accused a few days before court date to forestall and dismantle any plans of either refusing to show up in court or coming with a large delegation of high profile supporters or ipob touts to distort court proceedings/prevent detention.

Interesting.

That is the reason why they called you guys ZOOGERIANS
