Two associates former Delta State governor, James Ibori, namely Udoamaka Okoronkwo (his mistress) and his sister, Christine Ibori have been sentenced to 5-years in jail to run concurrently.

Breaking news hence sketchy details so far. At least this pair of [b]convicted criminals [/b]will serve time in prison plus they will be the proud owners of criminal records that will put them on various notorious databases worldwide

I'd love to see that sight too !!! I remember how they were all preening around in court while taunting the various Nigerians who showed up to protest against their despicable deeds . They must have thought Judges can be bribed in every nation of the World as is the case in Nigeria They better prepare themselves for UK Prison life. We have to take every episode of our relationship with the west on an individual basis otherwise we run the risk of losing focus and neutrality. Most Western nations are not entirely bad and they are not totally good either. In any case, it is the justice system of the UK that Nigerians are applauding on this occasion and not the Country itself. You did not see Gordon Brown or David Cameron using their Minister of Justice to  openly and callously frustrate the course of Justice like Yar Adua used Aondoakaa to achieve. In the end, Justice comes to us all and our callous leaders would do well to remember that.

However, the judge rejected their pleas. In doing so, Judge Hardy took the unprecedented step of coming down hard on the Nigerian judiciary, declaring that the Nigerian judiciary has been usurped by Ibori. He said it is the people of Nigeria that are the victims, not the two women who lived a life of luxury off the poverty of their people. He made it clear in open court that the women knew exactly what they were doing and therefore couldn't be described as victims.  

@Chidichris, I know nothing impresses you when it come to your Oga Ibori, but sorry his sister and lover are both heading to jail. And as things stand they are likely to be deported after serving thier terms respectively.
