When Obong Nsima Ekere was appointed into the Niger Delta Development Commission as the Managing Director, Akwa Ibomites assumed that the new appointee, being an indigene of the state was allowed the position they deservedly merited. Thus, Nsima Ekere who naturally should be considered unfit to hold any leadership position at any level due to his inglorious past, was given the responsibility to steer the ship of the Commission, an opportunity to redeem his battered image. But rather than implement interventionist policies and projects using NDDC, Obong Nsima Ekere instead chose to go through an inglorious lane of desperation and inordinate ambition. Nsima Ekere would rather divert resources meant to empower Akwa Ibomites and other Niger Deltans meanwhile, Akwa Ibom state has not felt any tangible federal presence. Obviously, AkwaIbomites thought it was an opportunity for him to make amends after he abdicated his earlier position of trust as deputy governor in 2012. It is therefore shocking that instead of Nsima Ekere to concern himself on how to contribute positively to the development of Akwa Ibom state using the NDDC vehicle (as expected of him), he is bent on rubbishing the good works and giant strides of Governor Udom Emmanuel using paid hacks and discredited characters like a certain fraud called Clement Ikpatt, Ata Ikiddeh and his likes.

Today Akwa Ibom state is unarguably the number two destination for foreign direct investment, thanks to Governor Udom. Industries and factories are littered across the state, employing hundreds of thousands of Akwa Ibomites as a result of Udom's innovative acumen. More roads and bridges are in great condition, courtesy Udom's acumen.

Akwa Ibom children in public primary and secondary schools are enjoying free education and some are winning National prizes.

What has Nsima Ekere done? What can he point to? Diverting resources of NDDC to propagandists is no empowerment.

Obong Ekere should know that no amount of propaganda can sail! Akwa Ibom state is marching on and the gate of hell cannot prevail.

Buhari made you NDDC Managing Director, instead of you to use it to touch lives of Niger Deltans you are using it to siphon money and then turn around to distract the state Governor of Akwa Ibom state.
