So Gist Mate Nigeria Team decided to know more about workplace romance and relationships. We carried out a research on what experiences people have had so far. At the end, the research suggests 66% of those surveyed have indulged in sexual relationship or dating in the workplace; and over half of participants said they have suffered office gossip as a result. From making love in a bank to dating married colleagues; men and women tell us their tales of workplace escapades. Luckily, some have well happy after endings.
Kunle, 36, Estate Manager; Benin
I was a newbie at a new property job in Benin, Edo State. I had a colleague Amina who was gorgeous, with amazing curves and a great personality. I wanted her badly from day one, but unfortunately she was madly in love with her boyfriend. One day on a hot afternoon, I decided to try my luck; we were in a flat that we were going to show to a tenant. So, I stopped her, turned her so she had her back to me. We didn’t say a word. I’m yet to see that woman who is very matured upstairs that will keep the sex a secret. She might not verbalise it but she will definitely show your colleagues signs that you are nailing her.
