The Nigerian music industry is a complicated lot to many, including individuals talented enough to take it by storm. This is the case with most upcoming artistes as they hardly know what needs to be done. Here is a brief and concise list of 3 steps to follow to hit it big in the Nigerian music industry.

(1). Get A Talented Producer

No musician, whether upcoming or established puts pen to paper on a rubbish song. All your songs are potential hits. It now depends on how much you know about making them hits. Well, since most upcomings are broke, look around for a producer who is good, but has not blown. You are like Arsenal, you need quality, but don't have the money to spend big, so you need to watch out for talent. Do a song with such a producer, bearingin mind Chemistry. This should be OK for you.

(2). Advertise Online

After doing the above, consult guys like seun (nairaland), naijaloaded, etc. These guys have the online pedigree to give you an online niche. Once you have that, you have most of the youths (we are mostly the ones online).

(3). Radio Promotion

The radio stations know how to play songs by unknown artistes and get them attention. Personally, I don't know how. Just look for how to get in touch with them, and get them playing your song(s). Before you know it, you will be getting calls from strangers like kilode!
