A taxi driver has been robbed of his vehicle in Abuja and also killed in the process.

According to the reporter Abuja Facts, who posted the story on twitter, the man's throat was allegedly slit by the robbers before throwing him out of the moving vehicle.

But fortunately one of the robbers was apprehended and almost lynched by a mob.

A dead taxi man is presently laying at the road side covered with leaves along Shehu Yar’Adua way near VIO office. ABUJA FACTS was at the scene, the dead man is a victim of car snatchers who threw him out of his car after he carried them as passengers at Central Area.

According to another cab man who said he almost fall victim, the car snatchers were 3 in numbers standing around the Shehu Musa Yar’Adua Centre and he saw when they entered the taxi that later became the victim this night.

The car snatchers while trying to rob the taxi man of his car slit his throat, pushed him out of the car while an oncoming vehicle who struggled to dodge the man on the road eventually hit him and swerved off the highway into a streetlight pole.

One of the men at the scene mentioned that he was there when the taxi driver was thrown out of the speeding vehicle and it was so sad that he had to die in such cruel manner

I was at the scene just after it happened,it’s so unfortunate he died that way....may his soul Rest In Peace.
