OP stress also triggers vitiligo and makes it spread faster and the major stress is mental stress. so you are helping the vitiligo spread fast by worrying about it. You saying the judge and the jury will focus on your lips is disappointing. In a Law court the judge and to jury are expected to listen attentively and make adequate judgement and decisions so you picturing them focusing on your lips is your mind playing you and the more you imagine things like that the more you help the vitiligo spread. so help yourself and do the needful by focusing on your law school

pls I don't have time for argument....why don't you search for the video's on YouTube. Vitiligo is said to be the leprosy of ancient period affecting the ancient people in those videos. No body is trying to make him feel he has no hope or give him a reason to commit suicide. In fact, no reason is what committing suicide for on this earth.

Please see a psychologist and go through therapy, you might need to be in therapy for a long time because Vitiligo will keep spreading.
Brace yourself for your life's journey, be strong and focus on your life's ambitions because doing these will also give you strength to live with vitiligo.

My dears, only people in our condition will truly understand what it means to have this skin issue.

I went through the same emotional trauma,recognized that I was plunging into depression and tried combating it by joining so many online vitiligo support sites. My family also helped and encouraged me to stop worrying.

It was really tough. All I can say is that the feelings will get better. Give it time.

The following lessons I learnt were these
1. A lot of my confidence was tied to my looks which I tried to correct by building up my confidence level on different factors.

2. Never worry. Worrying worsens the spread. Don't believe me? You can Google it.

3. Do nothing. It might sound counter productive but doing nothing and not applying all manner of things helped in stopping its spread.

4. Learn about the skin condition in its entirety. Be a mini specialist. In a way, it gives you a bit of control.

5. Avoid dangerous steroids. My first reaction was to buy funbact A. I was warned not to apply such high degree of steroids on my skin

6. Learn about the stages of grief. I believe you are going through the different stages now. It will get better.

7. Let people talk. You can go ahead and tell them you have vitiligo. The more you accept this, the better your mental state will be

for what will you kill yourself. do you owe anybody any explanation? just rock your look like that dey go. when the thing start spreading you may try wearing turtle neck and long sleeves to cover up. with regards to your face, you can research if there are creams to mask the discoloration. but my guy, just rock your look. u are a man, you will even be surprised how curiosity will be leading some girls into your arms on a regular basis �

O.P just ignore it and move on with your life..
My mum tried to treat hers with different forms
and formula but to no avail..
I bought her ASCEND(Triamcinolone Acctonide Cream)USP.
It seems to be working...
She uses raw paw paw juice as well.

But of recent it is becoming too much and I've told myself that if the spreading continues I would have no other option than to end my life because I cannot imagine living a life of stigma, pity and neglect.. I really can't

I have met severally with dermatologists and have bought several creams and drugs but all to no avail.. The spreading did not still stop.. Not to talk of repigmenting.

I got a camouflage tattoo but it wasn't effective upon all the pain I passed through.. Now the substance I use to cope with it is hair dye which I apply before going for my law classes in the morning ... I still wonder how I will be able to practice law with this kind of lips.

Hair dye is poisonous, putting it on your lips is dangerous, pray about it and have faith in God, it will definitely stip

It is a problem to you because image is more important than anything else and you rather commit suicide because you lack a'social' life. Perhaps when you care to grow up you'd realise there are far more important things in life that people of value recognise. So find those circles, those lines, those people and operate there.

I have never related and appreciated anyone I can remember based on the person's looks. It is just so childish. Aspire to excellence in character and disposition and folks will never leave your side. As to the opposite sex, what better way to negiotate with those who value you for what lies deep beneath the skin, yes the heart.

Why do the darkest of complexions always catch vitiligo?
You have the option of bleaching to make every tone even or you can manage it.

Let me tell you my own story hoping to inpsire you:

I suffer from sleep apnea. Many a time I've woken up at night gasping for air, always to the embarrassment of myself and the horror of whoever else sleeps in the same room. Knowing how Nigerians think I always ensure to sit down after my episodes and educate the person on sleep apnea. I do this to dispel their fears of it being a spiritual attack and the hope that one day they may educate the ignorant on the condition. One never knows how much good they perform by teaching others.

OP I think you should make it a point to enlighten others on your condition. They will also, like you, impart the knowledge unto others.

Bro chill... it might not be as bad as you imagine it to be. but apparently that might be a little too hard for you to believe seeing as you are so preoccupied with the thought of it and thereby blowing it out of proportion.

The only problem I see is that the discoloration draws attention to your scanty beards and moustache which you should be more worried about.

Vitiligo is not the end of the world and if it's making you suicidal now, wait till it covers your face and arms.

Embrace it and accept it... and shave that lip and chin furniture

Point of correction, VITILIGO is not a disease and it is not contactable, like you said it's as a result of low melanin. stop scaring people

Please don't kill yourself, you can ause raw tomato to be washing it day and night. It will later disappear.
