As oxygen level in the cave continues to drop and in the midst of heavy rainfall, anxiety is beginning to mount as the 12 Thailand boys and their coach remain trapped underneath the cave. Thailand authorities are working 24 hours a day using aerial drones, thermal cameras, divers, and other gadgets to rescue the boys alive as none of them can swim and the cave itself is in total darkness. It is no doubt an extremely dangerous and risky mission.




More than 130 million litres of water have already been pumped out of the cave in the last few days as rescue workers servicemen, volunteers and villagers alike work to drain the cave complex and intensify their efforts to rescue the team. However, in a sad twist of events, former Thailand navy diver Saman Gunan died after delivering oxygen to the children on Thursday, demonstrating how dangerous the escape from the caves would be.



Meanwhile American billionaire and tech mogul have joined the rescue efforts by sending a team of his Boring company to go and drill a tunnel right into the cave and rescue the team. Employees of the SpaceX and Boring companies founded by Musk are on their way to Thailand to offer assistance. This is indeed good news as they are going with the best technology available. In a press conference made in front of the cave, officials have compiled all of the tributes for Saman Kunan, the “national hero” who died delivering oxygen to the cave deep underground, and we will continue to monitor the situation as more information comes out.
