Focusing on economic powerhouses of each region e.g. Kenya, Egypt, Nigeria, South Africa.

There's no city or state in Nigeria that should be on that list.

Maybe because you have never travel out of your state and Nigeria. Abuja is a planned city and far more beautiful than all the cities listed except Johannesburg. I have visited all the cities listed above except that of Madagascar. Don't allow those pictures to deceive you, it's just like showing you the pictures of Lagos Island and you will think the whole of Lagos is beautiful.

Abuja is beautiful and a work in progress..With time I believe Abuja is gonna be the most beautiful city in Africa.

Abuja is relatively beautiful- yes than Lagos, Port Harcourt and Enugu. Why not? I used to ask my self why this city is finer than areas in SS where oil is drilled.

Reason is simple. Abuja was a village called Suleja (now the Suleja we know is very many miles away in Niger State) when Murtala Mohammed chose it as the new FCT. Abuja sounded sexier in their ears than Suleja. And it was well planned from the beginning.

It was meant for the elite. The elite always seek their own comfort. Abuja's Achilles heel will be failure to plan seriously for the poor and working class that will inevitably flood there to seek their fortune over decades to come. The shanty towns that will develop around it will "uglify" the city.

Africans sha! We are always following from behind. While the rest of the world is running away from cement graveyards of pollution, we are emphasizing the beauty of built environments.

Natural habitats of hills, mountains, waterfalls, game reserves, snow covered mountain sides, sky lights etc are the most beautiful places on earth

They pay a premium to live outside of places like this, in suburbs, which mix a little built and alot more natural environments.
