If you die a miserable death on road tomorrow now people will be pitting you. God is indeed a merciful God.

So he deserves to die a miserable death for thinking the money could've been spent differently?

So it's not the church duty to provide these things but the church collects from the society in the form of offering and tithes abi , the worst thing is churches and religious institutions are not taxed yet they collect hugely from the society with no apparent service they provide. If you care about the advancement of this country you won't be talking like this.
The churches don't force people to give tithes and offerings. We that do it, do it out of conviction from the Word of God and we owe nobody any explanation. If you don't do it that's your conviction but why are you taking pain killer for a headache that you think we are having? Leave us to give our money to the church, it is not your business. After all its our money. Thank you.

smh. nigerians and stupidity are like bread and butter. 100,000 capacity church auditorium when a good number of the members would be job seekers. why can't they spend the money in creating job opportunities for their members? 100,000 capacity church auditorium that will eventually be made up of so many job seekers. we keep building large auditoriums for worship in nigeria for jobless people to come and pray in,to ask God for needs that would have been met,if the church had channeled the money for large cathedral into such. imagine the amount of jobs that would have been created with the funds earmarked for this white elephant project. this is nigeria where most of the people who run religious organizations and our govts, actually don't have wisdom. every church wants to own large auditoriums like rccg, winners, christ embassy, mfm, deeper life, and the likes. it's now a competition. the whites who brought Christianity to us,do not run their churches like this. they don't go about spending money building gigantic cathedrals up and down. in a country where poverty is high, these sort of projects aren't what the church should be financing. God doesn't live in physical buildings;he lives in our hearts.

this sort of thing can only happen in a society where the government has failed. nigeria's population is growing rapidly and we are busy giving out lands to people to build churches instead of us to give these lands to private investors who are ready to invest hugely in the economy and create jobs.

I agree with your assertion..However Pastor Paul is a business man whose fundamental objective is making money through his Dunamis empire. He's not obligated in creating jobs for the 100k capacity members.

If we don't invest in industries and manufacturing, I wonder where people will work.

Thousands pray for divine employment connections, financial breakthrough, e. t. c

But if there are not enough companies to create national wealth, how exactly are those prayers going to be answered?

If you pray to God for employment as a mechatronic engineer, and God does not see any mechatronic Engineering company to fix you in, what will you do?

After independence, in order to build a great nation, each country went to work. But in Nigeria, after independence, our people went to pray and fast. So, while we were praying, Malaysia came here and took our palm seedlings and built a great factory of it. While we were praying, Singapore went into investment in technology. While we were praying, India went into ICT. While we were praying, China went to massive industrialization. While we were shouting Allah Alakuba! UAE went into massive infrastructural development. While we were binding and casting Lucifer, Japan went into technological development. While we were speaking in tongues, Denmark went into education of her citizens. While we were mounting big speakers in our places of worship, USA was mounting man on the moon.

After our prayers, God, being a wise God decided to reward us according to our labour. Since those that went into industrialization, technology, infrastructural development, ICT, education etc have been rewarded accordingly. It's only wise God rewards us with our efforts in prayers. That's why today, Nigerian pastors are competing in building the biggest churches.

That's why there are more prayer houses and worship places than hospitals and schools. That's why people rush to prayer houses for medical and business solutions instead of hospitals. That's why we don't do business proposals before jumping into business since we are going to back it up with prayers. And when it collapse, we blame devil. That's why it's a sin to say anything negative about pastors and imams. That's why our pastors don't consider the opinion of engineers while building and blame devil when building collapse. That's why faith in God replaces building pillars and when it collapse we blame it on Lucifer. That's why our pastors are making sure they plant church branches instead of schools in every streets in Nigeria. That's why we always wait for gods to do that which ability to accomplish we already have in us. That's why we want our teachers to labour on earth and go to heaven for their rewards. Nigeria is a prayer loving, god fearing nation. Religion has taken the place of technology, infrastructure, education and all. When we are traveling, we ignore all the necessary road requirements, servicing of our vehicles and pray. And, once we pray, we can put a half fit vehicle on the road and blame our step mother or mother in law if anything goes wrong. That's why there are more people dying on our roads. Because, we pray and fast and leave everything to God when we have all we need to survive and build a nation....... I hope it made sense to you

Nigeria did not fail because they prayed and fasted.. America was more religious than any christian nation in the world during their early years of development such that everything about them had God in it including their constitution and their currency notes plus they became bonded with isreal. Saudi Arabia is more religious than Nigeria.
Nigeria failed along with the rest of Africa because of Bad leadership, poor governance, greed for money and power, lack of vision and direction, lack of education, intellegence and enlightenment among their people and above all poverty mentality, laziness and diabolic evil practices..

And how does this create jobs for the millions of jobless people in Nigeria? Better if it was a complex that would reduce unemployment even if It's by 0.01%.
stupid comment, don't you know that there are people already employed to build that structure? And not less than 180 people for that matter. And when they are done for building that church they will be full-time staff to clean, maintain and guard the whole complex church. Is that not a job creation?

Before Bill Gates ever thought of making his first million missionary schools were built free by churches, ever heard about Christian medical United ? There are allot of Charity supports under the umbrella of Christianity so why bug us with some who do not do much or refuse to pronounce their charity donations/help.
Stop making a fool of yourself trying to bash the growth of churches based on your ill concept of Charity. Hope you know that Face book part owner (Mark) is now the 3rd richest man on Earth but he can not be rated on the same level with the 4th richest man on Earth (Warren) when it comes to giving money to charity orgs. but does that make Mark a bad person ? Absolutely not because he supports some charity organization's but not on same large scale compared to Bill Gates and Warren Buffet so once again, get lost for real.

You made a valid point but remember, one have to hear and accept the word for it to manifest and bring out the inner good in a person's heart.
Going to church or listening to sermons all the time does not make one a good person. There are atheists who have a more caring heart than some fake pastors and imam so I think individuals should be held accountable for their acts not the Church.
