The PDP won the 2014 Ekiti gubernatorial elections and celebrated because they thought it was a pointer to victory in 2015. But we all know how that turned out. Barely months to the 2019 elections, history is repeating itself so APC had better be careful how they pop the champagne and celebrate.

PDP is never an alternative to APC and will never be. A party in power for 16years that can't boast of 20% meaningful achievements, should never be considered as an option.
As for those R-APCs that decamped, I pity them, certainly they are not returning back anymore saved for less than 10%
