It was reported that many Boko Haram militants dressed in military apparel and armed with sophisticated weapons got access to a military facility in Jilli, a village in Yobe State close to the border with Borno State in the fringes of Lake Chad.

Before the invasion, the base had around 750 troops manning it, adding that the facility was established to contain the movement of Boko Haram terrorists’ along the Chad Basin.

Jilli village is located 60km from Gaidam, the headquarters of Gaidam local Government of Yobe State.

Please correct the sentence ,it isn't "has paid billions " ,buhari is still paying them billions Everytime they kidnap and he releases their top commanders who are very skilled and highly trained .all the billions been paid in the name of ransom payments

They mistook the BH terrorists for fellow military men and opened the gates. lol this is ridiculous, this goes to show just how inept the Nigerian military is, all that money spent on security / defense budget and the military doesn't have a decent communications system, how could you possibly open the gate for BK insurgents to just stroll in and over run your military base? something doesn't seem right in this story, seems like an inside job. The personnel's guarding the gates of the base should be thoroughly investigated!

This book Haram issue may be the catalyst that will bring down Buhari government if not properly handled.

It appears our soldiers are not motivated and poorly trained. How can you open your gates simply because the vehicles are painted in army colors?
