A Country With A Misplaced Priority. (part 1) by PediakAuthor: 12:43pm On Jul 18, 2018
Scrolling through the Nairaland FrontPage yesterday, one headline got me inspired of writing this.

If Nigeria will ever rise up from the present dungeon of under-development, the Government needs to start having respect for intellectual capacities.

Here is a practical instance: two different breeds of Nigerian Youths went for a Reality TV Show for several weeks, the first was all about entertainment, all the narratives we could write about them are; sleeping and waking up, the game-play and the "toilet s3x". Some of them returned back home to be given a heroic welcome, to be installed as role-models to the Nigerian kids and to be given massive accolades.

On the other way around, another second set of the Nigerian Youths went for a Reality TV Show for several weeks, representing all the Nigerian States. Day and night, they jointly carried out tasks on how to curb the wailing societal challenges in their respective States while also inventing solutions for the advancement of Nigeria. They also went back home with solutions and ideas to stimulate a sustainable development in their respective States, but the Governments didn't give such Youths any recognition.

What a paradoxical situation!

If Nigeria will take her place as the true giant of Africa; the Government and the people must embrace some positive attitudinal changes which shall be enumerated in my subsequent writings.

Deo-Volente!
