it's essential and important to lay down bare facts regarding the infamous myth propagated by igbos playing on victim card mentality regarding the issue of hate, loath and antagonistic tendencies shown to them by other tribes

The 1966 Nigerian coup d'état(igbo coup)
January 15, 1966, when mutinous Nigerian soldiers led by Kaduna Nzeogwu and Emmanuel Ifeajuna killed 22 people including the Prime Minister of Nigeria, many senior politicians, many senior Army officers (including their wives), and sentinels on protective duty. The coup plotters attacked the cities of Kaduna, Ibadan, and Lagos while also blockading the Niger and Benue River within a two-day span of time before the coup plotters were subdued. The General Officer Commanding, of the Nigerian Army, Johnson Aguiyi-Ironsi then used the coup as a pretext to annex power, ending Nigeria's nascent democracy. It was one of the events that led to the Nigerian Civil War.

the seed of discord, hate and animosity was first planted by the igbo's through the 1966 coup, which led to the civil war and chain of events till this very present day.. Nobody hates you bcuz you're from the lineage of jews(as u claim),hard working, blessed or "the fear that the Igbos may eventually come to dominate the northern political space which eventually will erode the powerful traditional northern elite power structure, ull never be able to do that, base on the structure and population of the hausa/fulani and other willing minorities compared to that of igbo

over 3m igbos are doing business peacefully in kano alone and other various northern states.. Take a chill pill!! there are over 500 ethnic tribes in Nigeria before you start feeling all important,it's not all about you people pls!

u claim the sole reason APC elites were agaisnt GJ was bcuz he mainly appointed igbos

its a fact that igbos are the most tribalistic people amongst all the tribes in Nigeria!! ain't no sugar coating it,you cant dispute that, plain truth!!,simple..its only this segment of people that try to defend, protest and protect a politicain from their region no matter the offence he/she committed simply bcuz his/she is from that specific region..is like their the only angelic being since inception that Nigeria had ever have regarding governace

no wonder you prolly didn't see any atrocities the angelic GJ commit during his reign of impunity solely bcuz his one of you, even though the ijaw have moved on..hypocrisy is deeply ingrained in you that's u overlook acts, such as:

1. Army raid on newspaper houses
2. Immigration recruitment scam and death
3. Extra judicial killings
4. Occupy Nigeria protests and soldiers
5. Boko Haram killings
6. Corruption "stealing is not corruption"

do any of these sound familiar to you?

the basic truth is that GJ got botted and rejected in the polls, bcuz he was ineffective, bereft of ideas and incapable to govern, not bcuz he appointed majority SE/SS indigenes

other factor that made him lose out was the breach of zoning/rotation agreement between north and south, which made political elites, including his beneficiary obasanjo to turn on him

The damage is done already. The only thing keeping Nigeria united is their common hate for the Igbos.

yah delta is not igbo, even tho there are igbo indigenes residing within

I summed up my assertation as SS/SE

so there is no basis to imply "divide and rule"

OP why did the government send soldiers to kill IPOB and their members but leave fulani herdsmen to walk around free. It took a while for Boko Haram a known terrorist organisation to be proscribed as a terrorist organisation but not same for IPOB. Do you think with all this grave injustices against the igbo people that the younger generation of Igbos will love and cherish Nigeria. The next Igbo generation coming up hates Nigeria ten times more than those who fought the civil war. Archives are available on the Internet for people to learn the truth about events that lead to the war. You can no more fool people with lies and propaganda.

u mean to tell me Ahmed musa hates Mikel obi bcuz his igbo or vice-versa?

do u know there are over 3m igbos living in kano alone..go out of ur comfort zone and feel/see for ur self, not base on what u hear on radiobiafra

Truth be told this is horse shìt. These people u called are ambitious soldiers who were carrying out their personal ambitions. They at no time consulted the ohaneze ndi igbo or any of our elected officials..there was no rallying of igbos during the coup. These guys all stay in west or north at the time of the coup. The igbos were well represented in the 1st republic and so had no reason to truncate it.Their motivation was not ethnic but personal. And its possible that it was planned by westerners who were not part of the FG. Infact Nzeogwu who became the face of the coup is pro Awolowo and wanted to enthrone Awolowo. Dont forget that from 1939 that Asaba was part of western region. So kaduna nzeogwu was infact a beneficiary of Awolowo's free education in the west and must have believed that nigeria would be better if Awolowo was prime minister.
Dont forget also that shortly b4 the coup, FG imprisoned Awolowo on suspision of planning to over throw the govt. Is it impossible that Awolowo may have been in on the coup and that Tafawa balewa got wind of it? Your guess is as good as mine.

the seed of discord, hate and animosity was first planted by the igbo's through the 1966 coup, which led to the civil war and chain of events till this very present day.. if i understand u well u are saying that it was after the coup that the igbo hate thingy started. Wat about the popular Saudarna's interview were he was saying that he would rather bring a whiteman than hire an igbo? Were he said that igbo always like to be on top? That was 6 years b4 the coup!

over 3m igbos are doing business peacefully in kano alone and other various northern states.. Take a chill pill!! there are over 500 ethnic tribes in Nigeria before you start feeling all important,it's not all about you people pls!
over 3 million igbos that u guys kill anytime the muslim world start agitating. U killed igbos just to protest miss world peagant which was to hold in abuja. U killed igbos just because some dude from dernmark drew a cartoon of mohamed. U were rejoicing because boko haram started with killing igbos. I remember wen they bombed a bus park in kano killing tens of igbos traveling east. U hate us bro and its not just because of 1966 coup...it goes deeper

I voted buhari in 2015...so i am in the best postion to say why people voted against gej. The truth is that the north has been voting buhari since 2003. But because of pdp and the fact that buhari had no southern ally, he kept failing...that was until tinubu linked up with him. Tinubu did it in 2015 and not in 2011 because he hoped to control gej...wen he couldnt...he knew he had to wrk against him....and with the north already in buhari's pocket, all tinubu had to do was use the media to magnify gej's failures so that other southerners can turn against him too...people like me bought it...without realising the ethnic power tussle going on.

Of course now that buhari is making all of gej's mistake and yet people refuse to turn against him, it has become clear that wat happened in 2015 was an hausa-Yoruba lashing out against an igbo president. Gej stood no chance.
kiss the undiluted truth and stop wailing

The undiluted truth is that the north is winning now, for how long u will keep winning will be determined by the Yorubas. Whenever they turn against u too, then its over for u.

Enjoy it now

Nigeria is a glorified disease that must be allowed to crumble.... So that the citizens will be free from the onslaught of politicians...

You can no more fool people with lies and propaganda.

and the archives all point to the igbo coup

The 50 years ago war was unfortunate but there was no right side. The wrong side of that war was politicians who used their citizen as a bait all because of powers.

The people who partook in that war are all dead or close to the grave. So why are we poisoning the hearts of the younger ones because of a 50 years ago war?

I never knew the Igbos hates the Yorubas because I've live with them all my lives until the Anambra election under Peter Obi. I saw their politicians campaigning publicly based on their hatred for the West and nobody shut them up. Do you know what they unknowingly did? They poisoned my mind against the East.

I didn't witnessed the war but people who couldn't let the past be are poisoning a new set of generation.

I'll be bloody honest. Even if Nigeria divides the hatred you are feeding the younger generation will all come back to hit you all in the butt. Because if there's no one else to hate, you will all turned the hatred against each other.

It's like the OP honestly think the rewriting is still feasible in today's era.

News flash OP, the list of the soliders of the so called "Igbo coup" have been exposed. That propaganda that you lots still trying to pass hoping it'll fly ended the year the coup survivors exposed the deceit of this shithole.

The soliders that participated in the so called "Igbo coup" were

Maj. Kaduna Nzeogwu (Igbo)
Maj. Adewale Ademoyega (Yoruba)
Maj. Emmanuel Ifeajuna (Igbo)
Maj. Timothy Onwuatuegwu (Igbo)
Maj. Chris Anuforo (Igbo)
Maj. Humphrey Chukwuka (Igbo)
Maj. Don Okafor (Igbo)
Capt. Ogbo Oji (Igbo)
Capt. Emmanuel Nwobosi (Igbo)
Capt. G. Adeleke (Yoruba)
Lt. Fola Oyewole (Yoruba),
Lt. R. Egbiko (Esan)
Lt. PM Okocha (Igbo)
Lt. Tijani Katsina(Hausa/Fulani)
Lt. O. Olafemiyan (Yoruba)
Capt. Gibson Jalo (Bali)
Capt. Swanton (Middle Belt)
Lt. Dag Warribor (Ijaw)
2nd Lt. Saleh Dambo (Hausa)
2nd Lt. John Atom Kpera (Tiv)
Capt. Ben Gbulie (Igbo)
Lt. Dimka

There were exactly 22 soliders that participated in the so called "Igbo coup", 10 were Igbo, the remaining 12 were non igbo. Ironically, you lots continuously try to hide those 12 thinking this is the 60s were information weren't accessible to all.

Secondly, prior to the "Igbo coup", there was a coup that occurred in 1965 which was the reason why Awolowo was even in prison in 1966. Infact even Sanusi, your Emir, testify the inaccuracy of una years of history distortion. Your Emir reported that the 1965 fight was what triggered off the 1966 coup.

Another thing that showed off the hypocrisy and demonic ways of Northern is the quickness to assign the 1966 coup as an "Igbo coup" despite their were non Igbo soliders that participated in the coup and an Igbo leader was killed in the coup ironically enough by one of the igbo soliders (Thank God for internet era because it exposed slot of mischief) Anyway, but the 1983 coup which had nothing but All northern soliders excluding one southern was not called the "Northern coup". I find that hilarious to another level.

Thirdly, the FIRST ever tribal kill that occurred in Niggeria was not the 1966 coup but rather the 1945 and 1953 attack from Northerners towards Igbos and other Eastern minorites. An attack that was triggered for no fucking reasons other than your hate towards anybody with different religion and culture from una. Even the British were confused on what triggered it at that time.

Lastly, in terms of GEJ. It is beyond obvious the North hated GEJ because he brought Igbos into the affairs of the government, the fact he is a minority and finally his religious beliefs. Your people's reaction towards Buhari even though that nigga is fucking up and failing woefully compared to una reaction towards GEJ even though he did 10x better says it all. Hell you lots even threatened to make his leadership "ungovernable" immediately after he won. You killed off and attacked the Southerners residing in una region immediately after he won. It is beyond obvious you lots hated him for absolutely no reason other than your delusion that he was Igbo. Didn't you people go around calling him Igbo throughout his administration and even during the campaigns.

Then leave them....una no dey shame say una dey hope on a tribe , depend on a tribe...how can you guys be so useless that you beg the igbo to be part of Nigeria...it then means it's Igbo that hood Nigeria....others are useless..even your president said that he would go to war again just because of Igbo...it's shameful

Look at the way they discharged British in Brexit

But Nigeria can't discharge Igbo...it's Igbo would discharge them ...they are too much

No wonder Igbo see others as inferior because they are always begging them to stay....

Now they have the government yet Igbo cities and Igbo people are still better than all of them

We as Igbo must stand firm against Nigeria hatefulness. This thread is allowed to stand but the alternate one has been taken down. It's clear that some people just don't want the true narratives see the light of the day.

proclaimation like this is the reason u get more enemies than friends, what will I gain in hating an igbo friend, busniess partner or neighbour?

u mean to tell me Ahmed musa hates Mikel obi bcuz his igbo or vice-versa?

do u know there are over 3m igbos living in kano alone..go out of ur comfort zone and feel/see for ur self, not base on what u hear on radiobiafra

We need much more enemies to soar even higher. Tell me what Igbos have lost as a result of your impotent hatred. Or still tell me what your Hausa/Fulani or even the generality of other tribes making up this God forsaken country have gained hating on Igbos. You are just taking poison and wish it afflicts Igbos. Please accept my sympathy.
