From Man of The Year, to The Never Say Never Guy, and now Mr. Love, Skales has been on a steady progressive music career.

He has been doing his bid as an artiste. He is on to make music, in good or bad. He has been sturdy in his work.

Like his previously mentioned studio works, Mr Love is not quite different from the rests, but the click hook is, there is a desire to constantly improve, and horn above the previous studio records he’s had, and he has remonstrated it voraciously with the album Mr Love.

Although, there are few flip flops, but all the round music experience on the work is commendable.

He first of all, filled his fan in with the tip of the iceberg from the expected album with a listening party, and straight, the next day, he popped the album open for a release.

Track one – Good Life; Skales teams up with Neza; the Rwandan born artiste gave her almost all as she sings the hook at the top of her voice on a dark syrupy sound sequence, repeating the rhythm on a subtle synth pad. This song brings an insight feeling of a continuation to The Never Say Never album, because, it bacon on being so encouraging to motivating, and to affirming confidence of moving from a bad state of life to a good life.

On Body which is the track – 2, Skales collaborate with Sarkodie again. Same thing they they did in Booty Language remix, in the The Never Say Never Guy Album, they replicate the formation. Powerful sex appealing and adoring song, which might climb the record ladder to become the most commercially appealing song off the record, this is all I want to vibe too right now, and I want you to do same.

Sarkodie was not never far from his usual－ his A-game was intact, and he delivered his sauce remarkably into the song.

Next up is One Leg Up, Skales raises the energy and tempo to a dance fill song, then he drops the energy again to a slow but very nice song in Sawa ft Diles Ailes produced by Krizbeats.

Fire Waist with Harmonize, is dancehall song that has a lot of commercial appealing element with it, Resemble your Father in the other hand, is not far from average, but the beats is encouragingly supplementing the poor input, as Skales repeats lyrics like Iwori wo, see dem dey don dey come again, see as dem dey run come again, then goes ahead to repeats gbege dey, gbege dey, gbege dey.

At track-7, which is Pass, Skales recuperate his effort with Yung L and Endia, on a Chopstix produced Afrobeat song to sing about a moment of enjoyment with ‘ganger’. Pass is better produced, delivered with synch, than Resemble Your Father.

Balance is also average, but Pile Up is way up. He features Cassper Nyovest. Both songs are produced by Chopstix, who offers dancehall beat to them. Cassper Nyovest, gave a good account of himself. The dancehall element on Pile Up will be the required pulse to take the song far.

Far from the dancehall dominated beat, Skales teams up with Phyno on Gbagbe. One would expect a power play delivery by both artistes, but, both of them came to the record with weak attitude and energy, giving out average input lyrically.

Mr. Vegas brought a better vibe to collaborate with Skales on Senrere. The energy and tempo gets up again on the Afro pop beat also produced by Chopstix. Mr Vegas sounds very close to Oritse Femi,one can even mistake his voice for him.

More ft Vanessa Mdee, and Tenie, is a great song. Better rendered, better delivered and better produced. This House music production experiment on this project should have been exploited the more. This is just my wish for the album, because of the different energy feeling it is totally bringing to the album.

Anymore ft Jody, Dapo, and Tubuma is another good song, Pressure with Tiwa will lead you to Shaku Shaku, but one would have expected more from both of them.

Fast whine, will not do bad for a club and party mix as Skales joins with Afro B, to make a dancehall song.

Skales brings the album to a close as he join forces with his Baseline record label mates, in Aramide and Saeon on the song title; No Regret to give the album a good close. The slow Afro Beat song is perfect for a quiet and resonating moment for anyone. He and Aramide, shakes the table of imperfections coming to a joint of agreement without considering incompatibilities of life, Saeon also did very well, as she rap her way to end the song with a lil bit of display of her vocal dexterity.

If there is anything to desire, Skales should team up often with his record label mate of Aramide and Saeon, there is something positively evolving in their elements, that can lead them to exploits their music strength, make powerful and productive records, and feed their fanbase with the joy of good energy with their music. We hope to see more from them soon.

However, if I was to go for the name titling of Mr Love itself, then I will be disappointed, because Skales almost did not offer no love with it, rather he gave a desiring energy to listen to him.

Skales has also somehow missed to bring the full dosage of love in this album. But that can be understandable, he has made his music, he has done his bits, all he wants is for music lovers to listen to Mr Love album, and desire him and his music, the way he is.
