President Muhammadu Buhari Friday in Abuja said his administration will look into the constitutional 13 per cent derivation benefit to the Niger Delta region to ensure even spread of developmental projects that meet the needs of the people. There are rumors that the president in a bit to gain votes from the region might considers increasing it to 25 per cent. A source from the Aso Villa who don’t want his name mentioned said that this is the reason the president has been meeting the various ethnic leaders from the region to inform them of his plans.
