Question On Tint Permit by Nobody: 12:47am On Aug 05, 2018
I successfully followed the instructions and registered for the tint permit. It was actually a streamlined process online.

So next step is to take the originals to the tint permit section at Iyaganku, Ibadan for capturing.

I heard that there's a fee involved. How much is this fee since it wasn't mentioned on the site.

Also, I heard about medical clearance if you have a non factory tint. What's up with this?

I can not overemphasize the fact that I have to do things on the absolute up and up grin

Why are they asking for medical clearance?

For non factory tints, a medical clearance has to be attached to the permit. I guess it’s to show that the owner of the car is suffering from some sort of sight(extreme light exposure)issues...hence, the need for the medical clearance. It’s just to justify one’s reason for attaching a tint to a non factory tinted glass.
I know someone at the Eleyele division that can help you out...it comes with a token too though..the last time I checked, she billed me a ‘token’ of 5k.

So N5K for the medical clearance.

What about the actual permit itself, what is that cost?

Thanks.

PS: For Nigeria Police purposes, is this a non factory tint?

The permit is meant to be given free of charge..but you can grease the palms of a couple of officers, in order to hasten its processing.

This is a factory tint. I just reconfirmed you do not need any medical report to have the factory tint permit done. Nothing of such was ever stayed on their website as well. Perhaps ibadan is different but here in Lagos nothing of such

It’s the same in Ibadan. No medical clearance is required for a factory tint permit.

HOW TO CONFIRM THE GENUINENESS OF YOUR TINT PERMIT
Getting a tint permit is one thing and getting the original one is another thing entirely, there are several ways you can confirm your tinted glass permit if it's fake or not:
1. BARCODE: Original tint permit do comes with a barcode printed on it which carries your informations like name of owner, vehicle registration, chassis number, make of vehicle... If you get a permit without these informations correlating with your registered informations then it's fake!
2. VERIFICATION PORTAL: There's always a link on the barcode below your informations which will redirect you to your verification portal, copy the link and paste in your browser to verify your application status. This way you're sure it's original permit but if the link doesn't work then it's fake.
3. SIGNATURE: Sometimes it's always confusing to know if you're holding an original document in Nigeria cos fake ones always look better and appealing than the original, check the signature on your permit if it's fainted or bold... Fainted signatures shows they are scanned and edited which is likely to be a fake one but the bold and vibrant means it is authentic.
4. APPLICATION ID: During the pre-registration, you will be issued an application Id to log in to your portal with your email, if you still have the application Id and mail you can use that to verify your permit but since the print out is done at the force headquarter also, this might be challenging.
These are the ways you can verify your permits.. If you need a tint permit stress and hassle free, you can whatsapp or call 08144476474

Re: Question On Tint Permit by JAYUK(m): 3:55pm On Apr 14, 2019
I have asked this question severally,I wasn't able to get an answer,I just feel since the plate number and tint is in the name of the previous owner, you will get a new plate number for the vehicle,NPF will modify the data on the old permit in put yours and you will do biometric and capture for the new one on your name to be printed out.
