Nigeria imported 4.79 billion litres of premium motor spirits (PMS), also called Petrol in the second quarter of 2018, according to the latest report by the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS).

A further breakdown of the petroleum products importation revealed that 1.11 bln litres of automotive gas oil (AGO), 43.79 mln litres of household kerosene (HHK). The report said 200.39 mln litres of aviation turbine kerosene (ATK) were imported into the country in Q2 2018.

It indicated that the months of April 2018 recorded the highest volumes of premium motor spirits (PMS) imported into the country at 1.78 bln litres while the highest volume of automotive gas oil (AGO) and household kerosene (HHK) were imported in June 2018.

The report showed that statewide distribution of truck-out volume for Q2 2018 showed that 4.89bn of premium motor spirits (PMS), 1.17 bln litres of automotive gas oil (AGO), 168.83 mln litres of household kerosene (HHK) and 176.98 mln litres of aviation turbine kerosene (ATK) were distributed nationwide during the period under review.

The value of the Subsidy paid for just these 3 months comes to 118 Billion Naira... and lets not forget that Buhari has already paid 1.4 trillion Naira as subsidy on the past
