The Amanyanabo of Kalabari, King Prof. T. J. T. Princewill, Amachree xi, CFR, JP dispatched a team of his chiefs of the Kalabari council of chiefs to the family of late Mr. Joe Anthony Blankson on a condolence visit.
Late Mr. Joe A. Blankson recently lost his life, while rescuing fellow passengers involved in a boat mishap between Abonnema wharf and Bakana in the Degema local government area.
The King’s message read in part: “The entire Kalabari kingdom share in the pain you obviously feel at this time, as the loss of the Gallant Hero is in indeed a very traumatic experience.
Late Joe Blankson was brave and by his action which led to his death, he is a HERO, who had a lion heart this Kalabari nation needs. His amiable disposition would be missed by the entire Bakana people, Degema local government area and Kalabari kingdom in general.
We pray to God Almighty to give you the strength and fortitude to bear this irreparable loss.”
