Sorry to bother, do four C1s give the maximum points in Express Entry? Or is it four C2s?

It's the CLB or your exact numerical score you need to be worried about...NOT B1, B2 or C1.

C1 spans CLB 8 and CLB 9.
CLB 8 = 3 CRS points
CLB 9 = 6 CRS points.

6 CRS points is the max that IRCC will give..... so if you have 4 CLB 9s you are good. CLB nomenclature goes all the way to CLB 12...in other words you don't need a CLB 12 to get MAX CRS points from TEF. CLB 9 = 6 points each, 24 points from the exams plus 50 bonus taking you to 74!

Salut!

I started my classes with a French learning center last week. It's scheduled for 6 days per week.

And it's been fun so far!

I'm planning on writing TEF the last week of June, so I'm trying to improve as fast as possible. Here are some things that I find helpful;

1. Reading.

2. Listening to French podcasts on Spotify.

3. Watching Netflix movies with French audio and English subtitle or vice-versa.

4. Listening to the test practice recordings

5. Learning with the Duolingo app.

6. Switching my phone's language to French.

I hope I'll be prepared by then and everything turns out well.

I was wondering if anybody would be interested in exchanging contacts?

We could keep in touch and speak the language with each other to help us improve faster. Or maybe a Whatsapp group or something.

Thoughts?

cheesy there are two things involved in your target.
Either;
1. You only need a few points to increase your CRS and not concerned about the 62/74 points from 2nd language

Or

2. You have enough money and just want to check the test format in June.

However, realities will make your understand that you are most likely to be ready for the exam by Oct/Nov. Fact!

I admire your passion. 6 days out of 7 is a big commitment. How many hours daily do you spend? Keep going! Keep us posted on your progress!

Je ris en français!!! Est-ce que tu viens d’apprendre la langue française ou es-te un locuteur native ? If yes then it’s doable but if no, then we will be right here waiting for your A1 resultant.

Take your time and prépare for TEF. 200k for tef no be beans, then the time you’ll waste waiting for result to come only to discover that you’ll need another extra 6 months to take the exam again.

If you are confident of passing then contact the closest centre to you, pay and register for TEF Canada.

Details below (including sample tests). Page 1 has other info that you may find valuable including contact details for centres in Nigeria etc.
