2019: Over 29 Associations/Groups Endorsed Makarfi for President.

Nigeria Youth Project (NYP), a Pan Nigerian Youth Movement for the actualization of Sen. Makarfi 2019 Presidential Ambition has expressed confidence on his candidature, saying he is the only solution to Nigeria`s problems. The National Coordinator, Hon. Bobai Victor Mathew has revealed in a statement signed and issued to Newsmen in Abuja. Hon. Bobai said, their support for Sen. Makarfi to replace President Buhari was as a result of his vast political exposure and track records of Bridge Building, Transparency and Accountability over the years.

 

 

Bobai, said “Today, I received over 29-group in Niger state, who pledged their loyalty to Makarfi, the Nigerian Unifier in the 21st Century ”

 

 

In a similar statement made to the media by the Niger state Coordinator of NYP, Mr. Thomas through the Zonal Leader of the North Central, Toba Owojaiye said “We were directed by the National Coordinator of NYP, Hon. Bobai Victor during our Principal’s 62nd Birthday to submit names of groups and associations who are willing to register with NYP for the actualization of Sen. Makarfi Presidential bid 2019.

The statement stated further; The leadership of NYP Niger State wishes to make it public that we hereby endorsed His Excellency Senator Dr. Ahmad Muhammad Makarfi to be the president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria under the PDP.

 

 

Hon.Victor thanked the efforts made by the Zonal and state leadership of NYP for taking the bold step in the right direction. He further explained that their quests to support Makarfi presidential ambition is as a result of his tremendous achievements during his time as two term governor in Kaduna State and the country at large, he said a great politician who has Nigeria on the pam of his hands has served in various capacity even before he ventured into active politics.

 

 

Having served as Commissioner of Finance and Economic Planning under the Military Administration in Kaduna during the regime of Colonel Ahmed Ali and later became member of board of Trustees at the Institution for peace and conflict Resolution in Abuja (Abacha Foundation).

 

 

Makarfi was elected governor of Kaduna state for two consecutive tenure (1999-2007) and later Senator representing Kaduna North Senatorial Zone in the 2007 elections.

 

 

“We see him as the only person who can Unify our diversities, provide Jobs, manage the security problems and handle the vast problem of our teeming youth and Nigeria at large”, he stated.
