We have scanned through a catalogue of music releases this week and carefully selected 10 of the best new ones that hit the music sphere during the last seven days.

Here are the 10 new songs you need to listen to this week.

1. Clay – ‘The One’ feat Johnny Drille
Afro Rock artiste Clay returns with her new single titled, ‘The One’ alongside Mavin Records signee, Johnny Drille.

The song which is off her ”Road Less Travelled” E.P tells a tale of love and happiness at finding the person of your dreams delivered in a mix of English and Igbo languages.

‘The One’ is produced by Coldflames Beats.

2. Zoro – ‘One on One’
Indigenous rapper Zoro is out with this one he titles, ‘One on One’.

The artwork for the single captures an image of former boxing champ, Muhammed Ali staring down at an opponent who has been knocked down, which captures Zoro’s mind state on the song.

‘One on One’ is fierce and up in your face, as he warns you that is here to win.

3. Paybac – ‘I Might Need Security’
Rapper Paybac definitely needs protection after delivering a scathing message on his new single.

Following his previous single, ‘Bleep Dino Melaye and Bleep Kach Too’, Paybac seems to have found his calling not just as a dope emcee but a fearless activist.

‘I Might Need Security’ is a cover of Chance The Rapper‘s song of the same title and this time Paybac is not holding back as he shoots a middle finger at politicians and entertainers, boldly calling out names.

Ahead of the 2019 elections, he says, ”Olamide too, voice of the streets, singing for politicians, but they run us into the ground.”

4. Terry Apala – Mushin
Terry Apala has released a cover to UK rapper Ramz’s 2017 hit single, ‘Barking’ which he titles ‘Mushin’.

The song ignites flashes of the brilliance that endeared his music to the hearts of many, when he initially emerged on the scene and one that he says is targeted at his increasing UK audience.

5. Yemi Lawal – ‘Come Up’ feat Soto
Budding talents, Yemi Lawal and Soto team up on the new song, ‘Come Up’.
