You are a fool. A thousand yoruba women would never have the courage of just one igbo woman.

We are not cowards like you, you know.

Nigerian govt is wicked if this picture is truly genuine. These people were exhibiting their fundamental human rights for God's sake!!

Nwanne, have you ever seen cowards leading the bold in wars,no of course.
It was an Afonja (War Generalissimo )named Banjo that led all the ojuku soldiers to the Biafran war successes until he was murdered by Miss grin Ojuku and the Biafrans were beaten black, blue and red.
It was an Afonja (War Generalisimo known as Adekunle, the Scorpion) that was coming to say hello to Miss ojuku in the bunker (bunkering coward grin) but he fled his bunker and was later seen dressed up like a woman fleeing to Ivory Coast.
Read your Igbo history and Yoruba history, compare and you will forever be sad that you are an ojuku.

Yesterday, hundreds of women suspected to be members of the Independent People of Biafra (IPOB), protested in Owerri, the Imo State capital, demanding the whereabouts of the missing IPOB leader, Nnamdi Kalu. They equally demanded a referendum for an Independent state of Biafra by the Federal Government.

The woman adorned in black attire with Biafra insignia such as flags and caps sang pro Biafra songs. They accused the Federal Government of “deliberately marginalising Biafran people”.

Trouble started at the Government House roundabout, Owerri, when policemen on sighting the demonstrators fired teargas canisters at them. The women defied the police action and continued with their march.

At Warehouse Junction, policemen in operational vehicles intercepted the women, fired another round of teargas canisters and arrested many of them.

While some of them fled to safety and started jeering at the policemen, the cops took the arrested protesters who are said to be 44 in number to the state command headquarters.

The CP said the protesters were arrested for unlawful assembly and disrupting the public peace, adding that they would be charged to court.

Arresting unarmed non violent women and locking them up for exercising their constitutional guaranteed right of freedom of expression?

Yet Nigerians say they practice democracy?

Tufiakwa! Onye kwere, Chi ya ekwere!

Democracy also guarantees that the territorial integrity & sanctity of sovereignty of nations are respected. But when challenged, albeit unlawfully, must be resisted & decisively dealt with by relevant security agencies.

A hand grenade should be thrown in there to end this madness. Bullets cost too much nowadays.

This is exactly the problem with Nigeria.

Abject ignorance of fundamental rights.
