Report has it that some female members of the Independent People of Biafra (IPOB), have been rushed to the hospital during their arraignment today at the Owerri Magistrate court, Imo state. 

It was disclosed that few moments after the women arrived the court premises, one of them collapsed and was resuscitated by her colleagues who poured water on her. 

Another woman who is said to be pregnant, was also rushed to the hospital in a police vehicle during the arraignment. 

The women were arrested on 17th Of August 2018, during a protest in Owerri, the Imo State capital, while demanding the whereabouts of the missing IPOB leader, Nnamdi Kalu and a referendum for an Independent state of Biafra by the Federal Government.

They are making the struggle stronger by detaining those innocent women. They have the right to express their opinion without being harassed by the state. Police should go and fave armed bandits who are killing people in Zamfara and Fulani herdamen who are killing Christians in Taraba, Benue and Plateau without being checked. What offence have the women committed?

Let someone pay you to dare injustice. Everyone should be motivated by something, whether money or no money. And you think those women are motivated by money. They are fighting for what they believe in.
