After changing the sump,engine oil and oil filter of my Volvo 850 the engine oil light came up.I called a rewire to check it but now when in park mode the light doesn't come up but when i move the gear to reverse or drive the light comes on.

What type of oil did you put in it?

Why did you change the sump in the first place? Asides a leak.

Mwile did you use recommended engine. Oil?

Before your kazeem elect starts peeling wires why don't you tell the mechanic to have a look see at the oil sump filter.

Another pointer is to look at the oil switch if faulty.



Check all those out

thanks the sump is leaking and i used seahorse engine oil

In addition i never had that kind of problem before until changing the radiator and sump

This no be NL matter, you won't get much help here, that car you are talking about has little or no internet presence, contact me for the number of a mech that specialises on those older model Volvo cars and get your issue resolved, tnx
