I was fuming in my rage as I tagged along behind her into the restaurant.
She moved across to a table where a gentle man was sitting and sat across him,I followed and sat beside her, I was still too dumbfounded to think of anything but I knew I had to give this deal my everything.
"Hello" the gentleman at the table said with a goofy smile on his face and looking at us like he owned the world.his smile was intimidating me already, I wanted to reply his greeting but I was tonguetied geez I shouldn't have underestimated this meeting.I was about making a complete fool of myself when Mrs Paige spoke up....to my rescue.
"No need for niceties K.M" her voice shocked the daylights outta me, in the car and at the meeting this morning her voice had been all gentle and feminine but now it sounded ...bossy.
"My my" k.m drawled"we're getting testy aren't we?" Really left to me the guy looked like a donkey in a swimsuit.
"You know" kizzy began again"one thing I hate most is a man forgetting people who have done him good formerly"she paused allowing that to sink in"if you very well remember when your firm was in real trouble last year due to that tape of your operations manager getting killed by shooting himself in the head after he was fired for f*cking a fellow staff,do you need all the little details or you get the picture" she asked the man narrowing her eyes.well well, I decided to join the chat since I knew about these particular scandal.
"The public thought your company firing him drove him to death and so calamity befell you" I calmly told him.
"Social media attack,protest demonstration, and even your goods were falling out of the market we had provided you financial help and also helped in shipping your products outside Nigeria, so the least you can do is award us this contract"
"Fine fine, but it comes with a price, for all I know you could forget about me and my firm after I help you get the contract so,transfer me a cool $1000000 and the contracts yours,deal??"
"$500000 or no deal" I heard kizzy say.
"We'll make a average profit of $7000000 from this deal we can give him a million" I whispered to her but instead of replying she held up that stubborn chin of hers a minute before speaking
"What do you say k.m"
"Okay $700000"
"No way in hell $550000""
"Okay its cool I'd send you my bank details"...

KIZZY'S POV.
I looked at Jake and he was staring at me in awe.
Well well well.I was about transferring the money when I looked at the guys face and noticed he was anxious, then it struck me hahahaha this one no know me at all o na your mama you wan jinx ga omo you go peme(die)last last. I switched to my phone settings and to security, I tuned it to fingerprint and presented it to him, he looked at me like I was crazy.
" wh..wh..what is this"he asked and looked at Jake as if needing him to stop me.
"Oh oh oh you didn't think we'd buy smoke in a bag right? I need your finger print for assurance"
"Ha ha okay" he shakily stretched forth his hand.
"Okay okay stop the foolishness, I know you're not k.m and I don't blame you for taking a run for the money but you've wasted enough of my time so I'm gonna ask you only once where's your boss?
He smiled stood and put his hands in his pockets
" let's go" I said to jake,and made to stand up, it was surprising when he stood too without questioning me.
We were about to start walking away when suddenly the plaza door swung open, and men in dark suits and black shades stormed the restaurant. Wow so finally I was going to meet the Almighty K.M, he had no pictures taken of him by the press, and he was known by all as K.M his initials.
A man entered walking in the midst of the uniformed men walking towards us, I squinted my eyes to see clearly and he looked kind of .....familiar, but I couldn't be sure as he was wearing a black shade. He finally got to me and I almost fainted when he removed his glasses and smiled....oh that smile it was the best,I could never forget it in a zillion years and there he stood in front of me tall and even more handsome than before,than the last time I saw him as he stood in the rain in front of our gate pleading with me to never let him go.the one who prevailed on my dreams lately, the one who made me get a two hot slap this early morning, the part of the slapping incident made me smile through my tears, I hadn't even known I was crying and with that smile I rushed into his arms.
He grabbed me and hugged me so tight, I gasped for air.And when he set me down after more than 5minutes of hugging and me crying and he said
With that softness in his eye he seemed to have for only me he said..
"I missed you stay, I miss you" my heart seemed to break into a thousand little pieces.....

Kyle motioned myself and kizzy to seat we did and he took his seat too.I could tell meeting kizzy again had unnerved him,he kept a smile on His face and I knew him too well to believe it was genuine.man......I looked at her and somehow I couldn't stop myself from feeling a bit of hatred for her,I saw kyle look at me and with a slight shake of the head I knew he knew exactly what was on my mind and he disapproved but I knew the hate was in me already, then I understood the reason kyle called me and asked me to escort a Mrs Paige to a lunch appointment this afternoon. He signed the contract over to us and left immediately not even sparing miss.stupid a glance.wow wow there's something going down, nd I have a feeling it's going down soon.
"Sony boy walk close to the wall when ever you're alone" a voice whispered in my head.
"What the fuc" I couldn't complete it as the next thing I felt was a piercing pain in my chest, I didn't want to look cause I didn't want to believe it but then the pain was evidence,I cried out and it seemed as if a group of little men were in my head hammering away trying to break open a door in my head I heard Lizzy's scream and I fell slowly to the ground,I heard a male voice I couldn't tell whether it was Kyle's or not.
The tiny men finally broke open the door, I welcomed the darkness...............

Somehow I couldn't blame myself and nobody could judge me,I guess this is what you get by getting married to someone when your heart belongs to another.I loved Ann, I love her and will always love her,but still I was good and trapped in a marriage to this wimp who forced herself on me in the first place,she and her rat faced father.
I turned the knob and entered the living room when I saw her setting the dining, humph who needed her food when I had just finished a nice meal at Ann's place,along with mind relaxing sex.
" Dan I'm sorry please about this mornings incident I promise I'll never oversleep I..I" I hold my palm to her signalling her to shut up,I looked at her and saw her twisting her hands and looking at her feet,she was sweating like a christmas chicken."I'm not hungry"I said and stalked off "I'll make you suffer I promise,in your next lifetime you'll never force yourself on a man again"......

Wow wow wow,a total waste of efforts was the best term to describe the food.I packed it up and momentarily I forgot my predicament and remembered the first time I cooked for kyle and he didn't eat it saying he was not in the mood for jollof rice and Cole slaw.I had packed it in the fridge and gone right on not talking to him for 2days,he had pleaded and pleaded for more than 45minutes before I had eventually accepted his apology.He had warmed up the food and ate it all not sparing even a grain of rice,and had had running stomach for 3days.For a moment I forgot myself and laughed out loud. I was heading towards the kitchen with laughter when Dan spoke up
"Ohhhh I see me wrestling with the remote control has become your own A.Y live right??don't worry when I'm done with you you'll laugh so loud you'll forget your teeth on the floor"
WTF I didn't even notice he had come into the living room,and he was blaming me for laughing at him?? I knew I'd do anything not to receive Daniel's science student slap.

I opened my eyes and I could see there was darkness all over,I didn't know how the power came off.I was just trying to find my way about in the darkness when I heard a swish in the air and Daniel's leather Gucci belt made contact with my bare skin,I screamed out in pain.I had never been lashed by my parents,even Daniel had always only slapped or punched me but.. But...now I could see the devil in him had gone loose.swish,another stroke and then another and another,I counted 25 before darkness comforted me and I found solace in it the last thing I remembered was Daniel saying"I can smell it when you lie".I BLACKED OUT......

I was standing nude in front of the mirror massaging my battered body I almost choked on the wail that threatened to escape my lips and the tears building up in my eye,I looked at the crying woman in the mirror and I saw a stranger this wasn't me.The kizzy Ozemoya I used to know would never allow anyone to disrespect or abuse anyone close to her nevertheless herself,not to talk of a man abusing her body in this such manner.
Daniel was one smart bastard i concluded in my mind as i looked at the evidence of his animosity on my body,he only hit or beat me on parts of my body the public could not see.my shoulders up to my face were spotless not even a tittybitty scar,my knees down to my legs were also free of blemishes, but oh.. But my chest region up till my upper knees region was a canvas a freaking piece of art.there were scars and scars and scars and scars.
"I can't do this anymore" I screamed out in pain,I could scream all I want Daniel was not at home,I needed to talk to some one I picked up my phone and called Helen, she picked up on the second ring.
"Heeeey whatsup baby girl I heard what happened to Jake how did it happen?? Gosh I hope his father would be alright and...you're right about Stella I can't date her jeez just cause I'm a lesbian doesn't mean I can't decide who to hit on and also........."
Despite myself I smiled at the news about Stella I never liked her

I was still reminiscing over how my life turned out when I heard the doorbell ring.I rushed downstairs to open the door for Helen,right in my mind I had concluded that,I would tell her the complete story of how I couldn't divorce Dan, she only knew the basics that it was an arranged marriage but she never knew the reason why I always insisted divorcing him would cost my family their happiness.
As I made my way downstairs I took a look at the wall clock in the living room it was 7:45,wow I shouldn't have called Helen, I unlocked the door.
"He'll I......." I couldn't complete my statement,suddenly breathing became difficult. In front of me was KYLE in all his glory,clad in a red polo shirt and blue jean,his feet were clad in a black sandals.But just one question was in my mind.
"How the heck did you get to know my house"
"My my can I come in at least"
"Yeah but ion think there's enough space for your men" I said reffering to the guys in dark suits and shades and then a popular saying clicked in my head"we dey wear suit,we dey enter coat"these guys were obviously wearing suits.
"I never extended an invitation to you guys" he said to them his voice hard.wow the kyle I knew would never sound like that.
I allowed him in and then prayed Dan won't come home soon.
