5 Reasons You Are Not Making Money From Agriculture. by maxipharo(m): 4:51am On Aug 21, 2018
Have you tried to make money through agriculture without success? In this post I will explain some common reasons you have not be making money from agriculture. The agriculture sector is not a stroll in the park, not for most people. Making money from agriculture is not easy. It is simple, but not easy. There’s a difference.
It is simple if you can follow a few rules and work hard, you will be making insane amounts of money.
However, before you can become successful, you’ll need to overcome the different challenges that would come your way. I will list some of those challenges in this article. They are the most common reasons why most people don’t make money from agriculture.
lack of focus
For you to succeed in making money from agriculture, you have to do everything possible to stay focused. Distraction is your number one enemy.
The problem with beginners is, they want to do everything at once. This is a recipe for failure. Pick one thing you can do and stick to it.
Information Overload
This relatively results from lack of focus. Most people don’t make money because they know too much. This is probably the number one culprit causing many people to fail in agricultural businesses. There are simply too many money-making courses on agriculture, selling on the internet and they are confusing the people who purchase them.
Another reason is some people love gathering information without working on anything. Someone might have this E-book for example (because it free), and have many other E-book courses (because they are free), yet he keeps looking for more things. All the E-books in this world won’t make you a dime! Your ability to pick a model and focus on it is what will make you rich.
Lack of Funds/Reluctance to Spend Money
This frustrated me when I started agricultural business some years ago. I had no money, I was looking for money. You need a budget for some basic things like acquiring land, building, farm equipment’s, etc. You need to pay for services we like free things too much…that’s why most of us don’t succeed.
Nothing is free even in Freetown. If you don’t have a budget, you will be under pressure to make money fast and your venture could be over before it even has an opportunity to start.
The thing is, people complain of lack of money and it is understandable. I wish there was a way around it but there is none.
If you need money, you need to spend money. It’s that simple. Many people contact me to help them start a farm. The moment you mention money, they run away!
Lack of patience
It is important that you remain patient. You will make money. Patience is a virtue. Don’t jump ship too early. Agriculture is a gradual process. You must wait for results. I once waited for 6 months to get a penny from my E-book (Heliculture as a source of income). Be patient.
Laziness
This one explains itself. If you expect to make money while doing nothing, agriculture is not for you. I don’t believe anything is for you at all. For you to make money from agriculture, you must work. It gets easier as you progress but for the start, you must be willing to work hard and persist.

Now you understand some reasons why people don’t make money from agriculture. There is so much money to be made in Agriculture. My desire is for you to discover this truth as I have found it.
