The state commissioner of police announced yesterday that 2500 officers were being deployed today to forestall violence at the Eid praying, ilorin. I guess Saraki should thank the IGP for ensuring that he is not stoned today like before. The authorities have even banned worshippers from taking satchets of water (pure water) into the praying ground for fear that they may as usual be used as missiles against Saraki. Even gov Ahmed advisedly has avoided the praying ground for years, including this year. Lest we forget, both the emir and Saraki have been avoiding that praying ground to escape booing and stoning. But this year is different because of the forthcoming election - they are trying to deceive the gullible outside ilorin that Saraki is still in control in Kwara. Infact, for the first time Saraki is facing opposition from all sides - within ilorin, by his kins men trying to break the Saraki family vicehold and he now, since his ill-advised exit from Apc, has to contend with the formidable "federal forces" led by Lai Mohammed, a protege of Tinubu, the master political tactician and undisputed political leader of the Yoruba people.

Saraki is a serving Senator and President of the Senate/Head of the Legislature. He is entitled to every security necessary to ensure that he is safe at all times. Can your governor or any Commissioner in your state, no matter how popular, step unto the streets of your state freely without security?

Pmb has never been stoned before by angry people at a mosque or anywher for that matter. They took extraordinary step of deploying 2500 policemen to stop angry would-be stoners from repeating their annual ritual. Saraki is no saint and you are wasting your time trying to paint him as such. A crook should pay for his sins.
