We members of Peoples Democratic Party National Defenders heartily congratulate His Excellency, Deacon Udom Emmanuel, the Executive Governor of Akwa Ibom state on his successful declaration to stand for reelection in 2019.

We greet August 24, the day of the formal declaration as a historic one in Akwa Ibom state and our country at large, because the say marks the day that Governor Udom Emmanuel officially accepted the various request by every segment of Akwa Ibom state to continue in his divine mandate for the next 4 and half years.

Indeed, the past 3 and half years under Udom Emmanuel has been the best years in the history of the state. Akwa Ibom state is today littered with various industries, that has boosted the economic standing of the state and made it to rise to the status of second in the entire federation in terms of foreign direct investment and open doors to massive employment of youths in the state. One of these notable industry is the Syringe industry, which is the largest in the entire African continent.

Akwa Ibom workers, pensioners and other civil servants are the happiest in Nigeria because their welfare has been a prime priority of the government since 2015.

Since 2015, Akwa Ibom state has experienced unprecedented developmental stride in infrastructure, massive rejuvenation of the Agricultural subsector, sport development, educational advancement, improved security, tourism and many more.

We christened August 24, as a day of joy, not just for Akwa Ibom state but also for the Peoples Democratic Party.

We therefore use this medium to felicitate with the government and people of Akwa Ibom state, we are very confident that the next 4 and half years of the government will surpass the great feat of the present 3 and half years so far.

Therefore, we call on the people of Akwa Ibom state to jealously guard this mandate with their all. We congratulate them for the impending victory at the poll come 2019.

Akwa Ibom is in the hand of God!
