The much awaited Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards AMVCA's, 2018 which is the 6th edition of this award (started 2013) is here. The event will start with the Red Carpets (arrivals) by 4pm today saturday, 1st September, 2018 and the main event should be starting by 6pm (it should be by 7pm, but you better stay glued to your TV by at least 6pm so that you won't miss a thing).

The AMVCA's celebrates actors, movies, filmmakers, etc from across the continent (Africa). It has since it's first edition in 2013, taken over almost all the prestige that the Africa Movie Academy Awards, AMAA, has.

It's an Award that every actor and filmmaker in the whole of Africa want to go home with. Even for the actors that have no nominations, they come to the awards to show how big, rich and fashionable they are. It's an award night that every African and Africa movie lovers look out to see and know what their favorite actor wore to the event and how many awards he/she goes home with... it's an award night that no African film lovers (black or white) wouldn't like to kiss even if your most favorite(s) weren't nominated.

This year, movies like Alter Ego, Bella, Children of Mud, Okafor's Law (Omoni Oboli), Devil's Chest, Isoken, Potato Potahto, Blackrose, Excess Luggage, Tatu, Banana Island Ghost, 18 Hours, Descent, The Witness Box, etc were nominated.
Actors like Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde, Dakore Akande, Rita Dominic, Toyin Abraham, IK Ogbonna, OC Ukeje, Joselyn Dumas, Blossom Chukwujeku, Ebele Okaro, Falz, Wale Ojo, etc. are all nominees...
So now who amongst these many talented actors and theirs counterparts across Africa do you think will win big? Which movie do you think will win the highest number of awards? Which movie do you wish will win best movie West Africa, East Africa, Southern Africa and Best movie over all?

Which Actors do you think will make us ROTFL while giving his/her award acceptance speech like Funke Akindele Bello did last year? Who and who is expecting more LOL's from Funke Akindele, Chigurl, Falz, IK Osakioduwa, etc?

What are your expectations from the host IK Osakioduwa and Minnie Dlamini? Would you have wished that the Zimbabwean, Vimbai (IK's former co-host) should be a part of the hosts too making them three? Why?

Who are the actors that you think will keep our mouths wide open with the exclamation "Wow!!!" on the Red Carpets and which actors do you think will make us all be like... "Mehn! What the hell is this?", "What the f**k is he/she wearing?", etc?
Actors Rita Dominic (Queen of AMVCA'S Red Carpet), Genevieve Nnaji, Stephanie Linus, Mercy Aigbe, IK Ogbonna, Alex Ekubo, Uti Nwachukwu, RMD, Ramsey Noah, Jim Iyke, Toni Tones, Lillian Esoro, Eku Edowor, etc have all shown us what coming to the red carpets should be like... So are we still expecting a more fabulous outing with them and many more actors that would want to make a statement today?

Is Ebuka Obi-Uchendu coming to outshine our actors today with his "stealing of other people's show" kinda fashion? Since he didn't make it for last year's edition because he was hosting the Big Brother Naija show in South africa?
Do you think Falz the only African well known (music) artist with an AMVCAs (Best Actor in a Comedy 2016) will still make it a second take home tonight as the winner of 2018 Best Supporting Actor in a Drama?

Don't miss this awards today... we waited althrough March this year for this award because that's when it usually takes place but they postponed it probably because of Big Brother Naija... now it's here!
