Reports reaching DAILY POST say there is serious tension in Delta State as gunmen on Saturday abducted the presiding priest of Emmanuel Catholic Church, Rev. Fr. Christopher Ogaga, in Aragba/Oviri-Okpe in Okpe Local Government Area of Delta State

As at the time of filing this report, the whereabouts of the priest is still unknown but the gunmen were said to be demanding N15 million ransom to release the priest.

The cleric, who doubles as the Principal of St. Peter’s Claver’s College, Aghalokpe, was abducted at about 10am while driving alone on his way to Warri after he left Aghalokpe community, DAILY POST gathered.

Rev. Fr. Ogaga was coming to Warri to help the Parish Priest of Mother of Redeemer’s Catholic Church, Airport junction to conduct services billed to hold Sunday. He is the priest in charge of St. Luke’s Catholic Church, Oviri-Okpe in addition to St. Jude’s Catholic Church, Aghalokpe.

When contacted, the Delta State Commissioner of Police, CP Muhammad Mustafa confirmed the incident to newsmen on Monday.

Mustafa said operatives of the command have launched a search to ensure the safe release of the Catholic priest.

According to him, “Yes, we are already searching for the kidnappers. He was kidnapped two days ago.”

Why didn't God protect his own


If the man is killed in the likelihood of event that the ransom is not met, we will say "well, it was God's will".
If on the other hand, the man escapes, we say " God is a miraculous God and He wanted to prove himself".
If the ransom is paid, and the man is released, we say "God knows all, he wanted to teach us a lesson"
If the ransom is paid and the man is killed, we say "It was his time, that God wanted to bring him home to rest in heaven".

Emmm...
Maybe God doesn't exist. The same fate befalls both God's people and non God's people.
And as I question God's judicial ineffectiveness, someone will say" Shut up!! How dare you disrspect God?? God's ways are not man's ways, for the things of God is foolishness unto man bla bla bla..."

And his further begs the question; If God created all things, didn't he know I'll think the way I think?? why didn't he make me to thing like a zombie, following his ways sheepishly??

Anyways, may the man return safely to his family and well wishers.

If this ransom is paid, where will it be gotten from if not siphoned from the church members purse in the name of tithing or contributions

Neglecting the multiplier effect it must have on the members standard of living; causing some members to starve their families, causing some members to borrow money, causing members to seek both good and evil ways of getting money, subjecting some members who couldn't redeem their contributions pledge to psychological trauma etc.

Tell me, is God not being wicked and cruel
