It might seem like such a hard commitment to do in a country that revolves around meat consumption but here are the vegetarian restaurants in Lagos and where to find them.

Vegetarians and Vegans do not eat meat. Nigerian traditional foods are mostly made with plant sources but seek animal sources for protein. However, you can have the best of both worlds while in Lagos, Nigeria.

This is a compilation of some restaurants in Lagos that cater for the needs of vegetarians, compiled by Pulse Travel

1. Hard Rock Cafe (3 & 4, Block XVI, Oniru Estate, Victoria Island)
Hard Rock Cafe is a vegetarian-friendly restaurant with great ambiance in its post-modern space. The meals on the menu might be a bit pricy, but considering the variety of well-prepared and exciting meals, it doesn't seem that bad.

2. B.L. Restaurant (147 Younis Bashorun Street, Victoria Island)
B.L. is ranked as the No1 Lebanese restaurant in Lagos with amazing Lebanese Food. They serve Lebanese, Mediterranean, Grill, Middle Eastern, Seafood, Eastern European and vegan options. Its seafood options are some of the best in Lagos.

3. Veggie Victory (Freedom Park, Broad St)
Nigeria's first vegetarian and vegan only restaurant is Veggie Victory. Armed with a garden view and fantastic ambiance, Veggie Victory is located in Freedom Park and offers western-style dishes and snacks like soy hot dog, tofu scramble with yam chips, and shawarmas are presented alongside eba, amala, egusi, jollof-rice and efo riro.

4. Izanagi Japanese Cuisine (19B Idejo St, Victoria Island)
Eager for some Japanese food, Izanagi is just the place for you. Izanagi Japanese Cuisine is a minimalist and cosy space that offers its clientele a vegetarian menu and a gluten-free menu including mushrooms, seaweed salads, sushi, and maki.
