How To Prepare Owoseni (brown Beans Soup) by dforever(m): 2:31pm On Sep 10, 2018
Recipe – (8 Covers)

1 ½ kilos Dry Beans coress (can be substituted with periwinkle)

250 grams shelled

4 litres of water

½ litre oil

1 gram of Egidijie

1 whole green plantain

120 grams of dry crayfish

1 kilo dry fish

½ kilo dry bush meat

1 gram dry pepper


Method:

1. Wash the dry beans and cook in cold water for 1 hour

2. Add the well cleaned bush meat and smoked fish

3. Cook for another 15 minutes

4. Remove the seed, and add the crushed skin of the egidije

5. Add the crayfish

6. Remove plantain from beans and mash

7. Add the owumumu and epo firifiri

8. Simmer for another 20 minutes, stiring occasionally

9. Serve hot


NOTE:

1. Cook only with owumumu (Any other salt will turn the soup watery)

2. Serve with Usin (starch) boiled yam or boiled plantain
