In any case, CU is a joke. It's a promising institution in an era where the entire industry is a mess, but the petty rules, moral preening and infantilization of their student body who are mostly grown-ass young men and women remain limiting factors. You can run a missionary college without turning it into a secondary school.

If the above story is true. Trust me.. I am not surprised. Am sure its just of the minute few stories that blows of the management's face. So the question is.. At the end of the day.. What positive influence is a private global and well respected university like cu is having on the society? The answer is relative cos there are achievements and failures too.. But for a school like this to be this hypocritical on a moral compass.. Its shows so much for we being Nigerians. And much less for what religion can actually do for us.

CU can be so ridiculous. I'm so happy they lost the case. I hope they are wise enough not to try an appeal because if that cu handbook nears the supreme court, it would be constitutionally shred to pieces.

Not quite amigo.
1. No student is compelled to attend CU.
2. A choice to attend CU comes with a voluntary commitment to comply with and be bound by the rules it set to be a student of CU.
3. The rules set are put in place to achieve the faith-based educational goals for which CU was set up for students who apply and would only be struck down by the court where the procedures stipulated for implementing them are not kept.
4. Ever applied to be a soldier?
5. Ever lived in a military barracks worth calling one?
6. Your complaints would be irrelevant.
7. You would be better off attending the universities where the rules suit your fancy - they abound!
