Na garri and dry fish I use celebrate this last christmas sef.

I was always topping my class in primary and secondary. I remember clinching 7 out of 11 prizes in JSS1. Had a 2.1 in Biochemistry and currently work with the oldest bank in Nigeria (Assistant Banking Officer).

Life has been fair I must confess. A lot of class toppers don't live up to expectations after school.

The Nigerian factor is a big issue. You have to know someone who knows someone who knows someones cousin. Thank God for banking that allows merit-based recruitment.

I just laugh when people criticize the banking job on nairaland. If not for banking, a lot of unconnected brilliant folks would have been jobless.

Our high school class topper don turn loader... He get mad money....

The class topper in my set, if you could call it that, struggled through University and barely made it out of medical school. The second best also struggled and went to Cyprus for masters. I don't think it was all fun and games there. One time he was reaching out to me begging for money. I sent him something.

School is never a measure of any man's capacity. School is just school, where they emphasize grades and judge brilliance. Life is more about luck and happenstance. If you are in the right position at the right time, you'll be fine.

Some are still looking for jobs, some are now housewives, some are top managers, some are doing well in business. Next

Same phenomenal over here. Was among top 3 in my class from ss1-3, had best was result in commercial class but spent 7 years for a 4 years course while mates have graduated some married with kids while am here still finding my bearings but I know that the best is reserved for the last.

Don’t get it twisted your suffering is not a ticket to some grand happiness later in life, the sooner you accept this fact of life the better for you. You are suffering cuz you made some wrong choices, or your intellect/resources/ are under some kind of limition which in turn limits your opportunities.

Haven said all that you better double your hustle, don’t have delusions that grandeur would come after your wasted years because you have suffered. The only grandeur that would find you is that which you worked for.

Mine, I was the the class topper in primary school. I mean the overall best. Onto Junior sec. school I was the best as well. At senior sec, I was among the top 3 in my class. Never knew the exact position cos they don't grade positions at my senior secondary.

On to University, hell, I have spent more than eight years now still couldn't graduate. Finance, acquisitions, I don't even a full grown chicken to my name. Just managing life.

Lol, I know I'll be an example to many of my former classmates. They'll be like 'look at so, so (Jusatboyy) he still hasn't graduated life is not by academic grades' bla, bla...........

Some of them are married with kids, some medical doctors, some pharmacist, engineers, busineessmen/women.
