Most of us must have followed the Covenant University sex and expulsion drama as well as many other of such drama from other Nigerian universities like OAU and UNILAG.

From my little understanding of most Nigerian schools, they are suppose to certify graduates in both learning and character. This calls for rules that are well aligned with vision for those schools to be made and enforced by authorities in charge and that's where my questions comes in.

Looking around us today, we can see clearly how learned men and women with next to no moral values or character have ruined our society and this leads us to a broader question that goes beyond what is happening in the above mentioned schools.

Should schools even bother to certify graduates in character at all?
If yes, how would you suggest this be done?
