*Sacked State House Chaplain: Ambode Incurs God's Wrath By Touching His Anointed*

*By Adeoba Michaels*

The embattled and outgoing Lagos State Governor, Akinwunmi Ambode is an emperor. And he is not sorry about it.

Before now, he used his office as governor to deal with many perceived foes in Lagos.

Like a wounded Lion, he pounced on his immediate predecessor, Babatunde Fashola to devour him. If not for the Lord who was on his side, Fashola would have ended in jail.

When Fashola got enthroned as 'Prime Minister' in the Buhari cabinet, Ambode got furious and devoured his friends and associates at home.

In his first week office, he sacked Fashola's sister, Yinka Fashola, 18 permanent secretaries, the vindictive governor had terminated appointment of 33 Permanent Secretaries so far.

He humiliated and sacked George Noah, LASAA MD, Folorunsho Folarin-Coker, Lara Odebunmi, Safety Commission, Foaud Oki among others .

He also frustrated many out of government. They include Ganiyu Johnson, Tunde Fowler and many others.

Ambode should have limited his arbitrary use of power to politicians and those in his cabinet but strayed into God's arena and the Lord struck him.

Governor Ambode sacked and evicted a Chaplain of the Chapel of Christ The Light, Alausa (Government House Chapel) , Rev Femi Taiwo for not anointing his wife, Bolanle first before other parishioners.

The cleric was disgraced and his belongings and family thrown out of government apartment.

It took the intervention of Nigerians especially his parishioners for the man of God to get shelter.

I read on a reputable online medium, Complete News, that the clergy was still floating one year after Ambode sacked him.( http://www.completenewsng.com/exclusive-state-house-chaplain-rev-femi-taiwo-sacked-by-ambode-still-floating-one-year-after/).

Oluremi Tinubu and Abimbola were first ladies in Lagos and heads didn't roll in the cathedral.

I have no doubt that God is avenging the wicked acts of Governor Ambode particular the harm he did to his prophet, Rev Femi Taiwo.

The governor has been committing embarrassing gaffes ever since which suggest that the Lord is against him.

He started by building needless statues that should earn him accolades but rather brought him reproach.

Lagosians fumed at the Chief Obafemi Awolowo's statue built by the governor where a cosmopolitan, dandy sage was decked in Agbada with his trademark cap and glasses to match and then a laced safety boots.

Like a man who is under an influence of a spell or forces beyond him, Governor Ambode without consultation with Lagosians and even his party leaders hiked Land Use Charge by over 400 percent!

Lawyers abandoned courts to protest to Alausa over what they tagged, Rejection Of Ambode's Satanic, Toxic Tax. That singular indiscretion dropped his ratings and turned him to a pariah.

To assuage the public anger and revolt that almost consumed his government, Ambode declared 50% discount on LUC as if tax was a telecom promo.

That means the hike will be 200 percent.

Would 200 percent tax hike be a sound decision when the country was in a recession? If not that God wanted to end the governor's reign.

While the Land Use Charge was about to mellow, the waste crisis escalated and spiralled out of control.

The governor had sacked wastes managers popularly called PSPs with over 25,000 workers and brought in an acclaimed foreign waste managers for Lagos called Visionscape.

The government guaranteed N50b bond that was raised for the so-called foreign firm to take off.

Is that not strange and worrisome? Is it the government that should stand as guarantor for 'foreign investors'?

It means if Visionscape fails, Lagos tax payers will pay the N50bn debt.

Ambode's visionscape has no vision and capacity for Lagos mega wastes. Without mincing words, Visionscape failed and collapsed when it could not handle the task.

Industry experts say Lagos would not recover and get back to a state of relative sanity in the next 10 years.

According to them, on average, Lagos generates 35,000 metric tonnes of wastes a day, if not evacuated in three days, it will accumulate to over 100,000 metric tonnes which could be as high as 2-storey building.

Despite, the hurried beckoning of PSPs to rescue the overwhelmed Visionscape, the backlogs are still warehoused in residents' compounds across the state particularly in the hinterlands.

Ambode demoralized PSP investors and operators. He was cajoing them while environment degenerated.

The governor caused the crisis not the residents or saboteurs.

Now, God Almighty has decided to humble Ambode who believed he was untouchable.

Like God did in the Bible days, he just showed Ambode that he ruled in the affairs of men and took his kingdom away from him.

The fatal end of Ambode is a lesson to every leader who is abusing grace and acting as if the day of reckoning would not come.

*Adeoba Michaels is a Public Affairs Analyst writes from Lagos*

This Adebola Micheals must be a fucking nitwit. What abuse of grace is he talking about? So Tinubu is now Good. Greedy frog eyes

He is the architect of his weeping, he planted it through his garrulous actions right from day one

1. His wife humiliated the Lagos chapel priest
2. He abandons inherited project from Fashola
3. He scrapped PSP controlled by a powerful APC chieftain and replaced with failed Visonscape
4. He decides to build his political based while abandoning those that work for his victory

He should blame himself

1st and foremost, Ambode was not and will never be a politician, he is just no cut out for that type of existence.

I blame him for his woes because he played the wrong move in the game of power. Lagos state has a working Model, whether you call it God Fatherism or by another name & its simply, make a Technocrat governor and let Tinubu handle the politics, thereby protecting and shielding the Gov from distraction but Ambode felt that with power in his hands, he could bluff Tinubu, SORRY, its not that easy. You are not a politician! PERIOD! You cant because you are Gov, build a political base overnight. NO!!

Mind you, Theresa May in U.K is currently facing similar crisis; Gordon Brown lost out like that as Prime Minister; Cyril in South Africa is undergoing his own uncertain future.

You are either a Technocrat or you are a Politician, do not try and be both.

Clearly we see the results of the election. Lagosian no even get say again tongue

1. Automatic ticket without direct primaries = Imposition by party leader and bigwigs, lack of internal democracy and god fatheriams

2. No automatic ticket, direct primaries where the people decide and internal democracy = Lack of internal democracy and god fatherism.

Ambode getting automatic without direct primaries where Laosians get to decide and pick their own leaders is imposition and god fatherism.

They are trying to do away with god fatherism, but you confused village Igbos still want them to continue with the same imposition and god fatherism.

Ambode brought this to himself. He was power drunk...and think all is well... He erased every fashola's signature forgetting that ground can be slippery sometimes.

He should start packing his gwongwo commot for government house... Better things are not meant for one person. Make him shift make another person chop too.

Just imagine how supposedly learned people in Lagos are allowing one man called Tinubu to determine their fates. This is shameful! Instead of rallying round their governor to save the state from Tinubu's grip they are here supporting him.
If not for the wisdom of Anambra people, the state would have continued to exist at the mercy of the Uba family. But Ngige and other wise men from Anambra fought hard to save the state from Godfatherism and today they are enjoying good leadership.

Truly people get the kind of leaders they deserve.

My bro if you are in Lagos , you'll realise that you haven't said anything at all here, Tinubu knows Ambode has lost all support and that if he joins , it will only create eternal enmity between him and Ambode and on the flipside if he doesn't he'll lose everyone's backing that's why he is pushing forward the direct primary idea, Godfatherism can never leave Lagos Politics and Nigerian politics as long as we have the current set of politicians...
If they were trying to remove God fatherism, who are these members of the Mandate Group supporting Sanwo Olu ? Tell me this and break it down then you'll determine how true your position/view is..

Stop boring us with your ipob ignorance.

Giving the automatic ticket to Ambode without direct primaries is imposition and god fatherism and lack of a level playing field

Ambode competing with other candidates via direct primaries where Lagosians get to decide and pick their own leader is doing away with imposition and god fatherism and this is what we are trying to get rid of.

It's even retarrded and hypocritical to be against god fatherism and imposition still preaching in favor of imposition?

Is this the usual ipob ignorance or just confusion and mental disease?

Mr AMBODE has done fairly well in Lagos State.. we can give him a 60/100..

If I was Sanwo I will not go against AMBODE.. I will do my best to bring The Patty members to allow Him. The Moment AMBODE does not go, Even The Mandate group will Split btw themselves.

I say this becos there is always a Law if Karma waiting to decend and I tell u, If Gov AMBODE stops at this one Term, The Next Governor will face the Same thing Irrespective of Whatever he does..

I don't know how Ambode is rated highly. Governance is about people. He was not a people person at all. Tinubu understood the need to create jobs for Lagosians. Ambode had this utopian idea that Lagos can be London with no interest in how the propel benefit. I give you two examples. Garbage disposal and the new bus scheme. They are nice to haves but at what expense to the people. A friend of mine used to do garbage disposal for some parts of Lagos. All garbage collectors are private companies with Lagos State being their customer. They get paid directly by Lagos state. Ambode brought in a new private firm with zero experience to take over all these jobs. The new private firm went back to the old model and now pays the other private firms on behalf of Lagos. You can imagine the mess. They also had the power to cancel allocations from lucrative and easily manageable areas to give to their cronies. I think Ambode did not know which areas to doable into. He deserves to go IMO. He failed to understand his expectations as a governor. Sad. The road transport bodyq is huge. Those were enough to mess him up.

you clearly do not understand what is going on. it is the people who are saying they dont want Ambode and threatened Tinubu not to go against them by supporting Ambode. Tinubu may be a God father but he knows (unlike Ambode) that the power he enjoys comes from his followers and he cant afford to go against his followers who are irate and have had it with Ambode.

only an ignoramus thinks this is a Tinubu thing. The irony is those who are against Tinubu are against him because he is refusing to go against his people and anoint Ambode. Tinubu annoints candidate they say he imposes, he stands back they say he's imposing.
