On the first point, perhaps you should read the article again, as Russian S400, S300V4 & Paintsir S2 Air Defense systems tracks and identifies, but DOES NOT ENGAGE foreign aircraft operating in Syrian airspace as long that those foreign aircraft do not attack Russian troops or facilities in Syria. So stating that the system is not intelligent enough is a moot point. Secondly, the MH17 civilian aircraft that was downed over Ukrainian airspace was "allegedly" shot down with a BUK missile complex and not your fictitious SU300. Get your facts right before posting publicly.

Mr. Hotwax, I am not arguing with you. However, it does seem that you have issues with comprehension. Firstly, we are talking about the S200 and Russians operating it. The link you provided, is talking about the S300 and its supply to the Syrian military. How do they both correlate? Yes, The USSR/Russis supplied (and still supplies) air defense systems to Syria. But Russia at present do not operate those systems. Their scope covers the training of the Syrian crews and the sale of spare parts. Get your facts right!
