This is an ignorant comment. If such a fella is running a consulting firm and government contracts his firm for services, he is not required to do nysc. But if he is taking up a political appointment as maybe, minister for science and tech, ogbeni he must serve!

Go and make some research about other countries who have same conditions. Some countries you must have tk serve in the military (Korea republic is 2yrs military service). That is why Son Hing of Tottenham is trying his best to win a sports medal for his country as that is the only way he will be exempted from a 2yrs military Service. And their own be say, even if you are not resident in the country, you must come home and serve or forfeit being a Korea citizen.

Name calling doesn't erode the truth of how mediocre and overrated education has become in the South. Everything which is an acid test of superiority over the north has alway been exaggerated or ,at worst,falsified. How did I come to realise this eye opening truth? In the year 2012 I was a Southerner in a strange environment in the North of Nigeria. I had been admitted to study law at the Ahmadu Bello University. For 5 good years I saw little difference in collective mediocrity at the university level.
