“Not All Medical Graduates Must Practice, Some Will Be Farmers"—Health Minister by Lizzysamuel(f): 5:44pm On Sep 21, 2018
Minister of Health, Isaac Adeowole, has said that not all medical graduates in Nigeria must practice. He said this while responding to a question he was asked by journalists at a function recently.

According to the Minister of Health, not everyone who is practising would end up as aspecialist. He said some medical doctors would end up as farmers, fashion designers, others.

Medical doctors should become farmers with their doctorate degrees?

Lord, you can come again. There's nothing left to be seen in Nigeria.

Only a Buhari minister will say such things. Nigeria is under staffed with medical doctors already, we are battling brain drain already and this lunatic will come and utter such words. Here is a perfect reason the country is where it is presently.

I just saw the video just now.
I mean, when did Nigeria start getting it wrong exactly?
Being a farmer or a designer is never a curse but if this reply is coming from health minister... someone might actually need some medication.

No marvel, as the president, so are the members of his cabinet. Great leaders attract or make great workforce.

After spending six stressful years in the University and a year for internship, I will now start fashion designing and farming? Isn't it better I went to a fashion school or studied agricultural science? What is wrong with this country?

At least we know he won't be part of the solution..........very careless statement . Pls don't blame doctors leaving this country, this is only a hint of the frustration in the health system

......a journalist is now more concerned with the issue of brain drain more than the minister for health, whose sole responsibility is to manage the system and prevent such, especially now medical doctors are leaving en masse.

The most annoying thing is that he said it with no atom of sympathy for the nation.
This is a man called to serve the nation.
They always think they are doing NIGERIANS FAVOUR.

I think the JOURNALIST should have studied MEDICINE while the HEALTH MINISTER should have become a JOURNALIST
