Youths of Kogi state have appealed to the National Leader of All Progressive Congress, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, to give them embattled Lagos state Governor, Mr Akinwunmi Ambode as Tinubu set to dump Gov. Ambode for second term in Lagos State,

“If Lagos APC is no more interested in Ambode… kindly borrow us just for one term in Kogi to change our present situation for good’



The statement signed by Abubakar Kolofo and obtained by THE OBSERVERS TIMES reads:

“Our attention has been drawn to the rift between Asiwaju Bola Tinubu and Governor Akinwunmi Ambpde of Lagos.

We are perplexed that a Governor such as Ambode is having hard time retaining his seat as governor despite his sterling performance in the past 3 years, meanwhile, our own Yahaya Bello that cannot point to any achievement is subtly campaigning for another term despite his gross incompetence and failure.In a statement, the youths wondered that if a leader as Governor Ambode is having serious battle over his reelection despite his sterling performance, then what is the wisdom in the APC’s support for a failure such as Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi state.

We hereby appeal to Asiwaju Tinubu to send Ambode to Kogi state to complete his second term here when the time comes. We assure Ambode of the support of Kogi indigenes at home and in diaspora should he accept the offer of replacing the incompetent Bello even without him changing indigenship to Kogi state.

It will be shameful for Kogi state to continue with Bello while a sterling performer such as Ambode is up for grabs”, the statement concluded.

Mr. Ambode has been in the news lately over his political battle with his erstwhile godfather, the APC National leader and leaders of All progressive Congress in Lagos state over some political issues. Due to that the former lagos state Governor and his political family, Mandate group have vowed to resist the reelection bid of Ambode and has thrown up Mr Jide Sanwoolu as his replacement despite efforts by some APC national leaders to reconcile them.

Lazy youths, so, no one among them could effectively administer the state except Tinubu chooses for them, they have internalize inferiority complex and oppression. They need liberation.
