Nkwerre is one of the Local Government Areas in Imo State, South-East Nigeria and has its headquarters in the town of Nkwerre.
One of the exclusivity of Nkwerre community is the municipal and diverse nature of the town. Nkwere is bounded in the North by Ideato Local Government Areas, in the south by Isu Local Government Areas, east and west by Nwangele and Orlu Local Government Areas.
