Amazing how Nigerians seem to be in permanent denial with everything.
If you read this the first impression is that the Nigerian police ever worked and, only recently things started to change.

Them dey Osun to rig election.

Just take heart. Nigeria Police has never been good and I don't believe that change in their lackadaisical culture will happen anytime soon.

Those guys are untrained, greedy and corrupt to the core that they turn their eyes away from crime and community protection of human beings and ensuring order.

Just, move on.

Osun still trending by the way. No well meaning Nigerian will not see how shameless APC is. Get your PVC and kick them out.

this scenario can happen anywhere. you took a thief to the police station, on getting there, you unconsciously relaxed with the feeling that you were already at the station. the police men who had saw both of you dragging each other to the station were waiting to hear your part of the story as well as that of your second( who will only be known by the police to be thief after you explanation). unfortunately for you, while you felt relaxed, the thief who knew deep inside him who he was and what could befall him if he fails to prove you wrong at the end was very calculating and looking for slightest opportunity to zoom off and eventually he had that slight opportunity and he took to his heels.
if the mental picture I have is something to go by, it wouldn't have been easy to stop him under that circumstance anywhere except in a police station that is highly fenced with one major entrance that is fully man by active security personnel.
I have watched a criminal attacked a convoy with highly professional security men, though the guy didn't succeed but he was able to dribble and escape arrest by the personnels

The poster admits that the police have no vehicle/motorcycle to chase after the guy. Yet, somehow he expects them to perform of magic.

One of our biggest problem in this country is not knowing who and how to direct our complains.
