*** THE UNFAILING PROMISES OF GOD ***

It is very certain that God’s promise have never failed at any point in time. The reason being that God is not a man that can lie and so maintains consistency in His words. The Word of God according to JOSHUA 23:14 says, “AND BEHOLD, THIS DAY I AM GOING THE WAY OF ALL THE EARTH: AND YE KNOW IN ALL YOUR HEARTS AND IN ALL YOUR SOULS THAT NOT ONE THING HATH FAILED OF ALL THE GOOD THINGS WHICH THE LORD YOUR GOD SPAKE CONCERNING YOU; ALL ARE COME TO PASS UNTO YOU, AND NOT ONE THING HATH FAILED THEREOF”. The Word of God prevails!

With his wealth of experience in the course of walking with God, Joshua reviewed every of God’s deeds from the beginning and came to the conclusion that He had never reneged on any of those promises. During this period, the Israelite enjoyed overwhelming victories over more powerful people and nations. There were times when they wondered if God was going to keep his promises, but at the end, He proved to be very faithful to His Words.

Most of the time, it is sin and compromise that delays the promises of God to manifest in the life of a believer. But a believer that is walking in obedience to the Word of God, in holiness and righteousness will always witness the promises of God manifestation in his life in a nearer future. For instant, what is supposed to happen in 10years time in the believers life will be cut short and brought nearer within 3years time. According to the Book of ROMANS 9:28 thus, “FOR HE WILL FINISH THE WORK, AND CUT IT SHORT IN RIGHTEOUSNESS: BECAUSE A SHORT WORK WILL THE LORD MAKE UPON THE EARTH.

GOD will protect His Words and promises at any cost. He monitors His Words and promises to defend them. IT IS WHO HE IS. HEBREW 13:8 says, “JESUS CHRIST IS THE SAME YESTERDAY, TODAY AND FOREVER”. Therefore, promises that were made yesterday must be fulfilled. Opposition to God’s promises will always fail.
Child of God, what are those promises God has made to you, patiently wait upon Him, cause in due time, they must surely be fulfilled in your life; the gates of hell shall not prevail against it…SHALOM!!!
