Ondo State Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, SAN has ordered payment of compensation to property owners along Oba Osupa Road (Hospital Road) in Akure to allow for the dualization of the road from ‘A’ Division Junction to Ijoka.

After verification, property owners on both sides of the roads will be compensated whether such property has Certificate of Occupancy or not. The State Government is to acquire forty metres corridor at both sides to accommodate the expansion.

Mr Governor flagged off the construction of the dual carriageway in February as part of activities marking his First Anniversary. The road is conceived to create access to Ijoka and other interior parts of the State Capital.

Governor Akeredolu visited the State High Court on Sunday where demolition has already commenced.
